And in particular the joketastic one where the guy was having problems with the 'wife password' or somesuch.

Search skills required seem to be beyond me. I know some of you have these threads bookmarked. Go on then. Blast from the past.

What's the story behind the bearded lad with a track pump inflating a tyre, or penguin or some other thing that's been super-imposed?!

He's on P3 of the Show me your Covert thread, amongst many others.

Cheers Junky - I gather it's lost in the archives then, if it's pre-hack. The photo's still doing the rounds some 7+ years later!

Bestest ever favourite has got to be ... Jensen button and the guy who bought his Yeti ARC CX bike.

The guy that bought it was complaining that he had been diddled out of his cash. Everyone goes on the normal manhunt/waiting with biscuits.

Best response was from one member who had been checking out the buyers forum history, then posted "if you ever get it you'll only end up selling it two weeks later". Sure enough, dude posted it up for sale once he eventually got his hands on it.

Jenson Button's thread was brilliant. Reminded me of the one from the guy who brought a disc rotor from Merlin, that was comedy gold too (edit... this one.)

The link to the picolax thread I found was on a medical forum.

Maybe we need a classics forum like mumsnet. We seem to be mostly AIBU most of the time anyway!

I remember there was someone looking for advice on stalking a young woman at a gym, but can't remember much else to judge its classicity. Can't even remember the outcome. Wasn't Hora the relationship guru? Did he pull?

It wasn't actually the penis-y bit, (seen those) just the hundreds of people just you know, telling everyone else what they get up to afterwards.

Say what? I only went to a gym for a short time with a bunch of friends, and gave up after they all left, that was back in the early 90's!
I would never, ever, bother going to a gym after a girl, I'm too unfit and I'd be far too embarrassed when my sorry lack of fitness became too obvious.
Sorry, t'wern't me.
Oh, and I'm too chuffing old! 😳

I showed the picolax thread to a friend who, obviously, found it hilarious. She finds it less funny now that she has found out that this time next week she will be taking the first sachet...

In her quiet, slightly shaky and afraid words, 'Imma poop out my soul.'

Ai the gym thread was mine. Can't find it though, iirc the thread title was "Gym Etiqutte" . 10 years ago was that, went on a few dates with her

Saw her not long ago in my local, I was with Miss Houns. I had a very lucky escape

Years ago I remember chatting to a female STW'er (no friendly not like that) and she told me of her mate who had said something nice - you know just NORMAL to another STW'er on STW and the next thing you know she gets a pic of his schlong emailed to her. She said there was no correlation between the limited contact and the pic- it was almost like the bloke had lept 4 steps ahead in his head.

Weird.

From memory he was quite a prolific poster too.

he was seriously odd. Met him a couple of times on C1XV rides. 😯 Emily Green was devisd specifically to wind him up, after he'd sent several female BM and STWers pictures of himself in various states of undress and inserting keys in "special places"

hora, yep seriously, saw them myself. It's not something I'm likely to forget in a hurry. the BM contributor who mostly devised Emily got a email "from a solicitor" regarding it, clearly had come from 42 himself.

😆

It was bonkers. I think the BM contributor who had most control of "Emily" had sent 42 a pretty lighthearted email asking for a photo, that's pretty much what we got back, him semi naked; then naked, then key action...it was, weird to say the least...

y'know I didn't stare at the picture long enough to discern the sort of key it was, it was more "I can see a mans butt, his hand...is that a bunch of keys he's holding...oh my ****ing good god what is this shit!"
