Commencal working on new snowboard range

Commencal working on new snowboard range

Sure we might be enjoying the start of Spring, but over in Andorra the Commencal team is working on a new snowboard.

Commencal, best known for World Cup Downhill mountain bike racing, likes to branch out into different avenues. As well as a healthy range of mountain bikes, the Andorran brand also owns a restaurant and even diversified to the ski market a few winters back.

The headquarters of Commencal is located just a short drive away from Vallnord making it the perfect place to ride in summer and ski in winter and as many of the team do both it makes a lot of sense to see them offer winter sports products.

And with skis covered it was only going to be a matter of time before a Commencal branded snowboard would hit the slopes.

In a photo shared by Max Commencal, we get to see the ski range next to 2 snowboards. As this is an Instagram photo the quality of the image isn’t sharp enough to make out details, but guess that the 2 boards will live under different models. The ski range is currently offered in Supreme, Clash and Meta, and we expect the boards to fall under similar categories.

A brief look at the Commencal website doesn’t reveal details of the new snowboard, and with the ski season drawing to an end we’d guesstimate that a winter 2020 launch will be scheduled in for them.
