Welcome to CABCP: Euro’s and Ruddervoorde.
The first major champinonships of the season took place in Germany at the weekend, followed by a round of the Superprestige at Ruddervoorde, Belgium.
European Cyclocross Championships

The European Championships took place in Lorsch, Germany on Sunday. To ease younger girls way into the sport, they held a race for U23 women for the first time  – Hannah Payton was the only Brit in the race and finished  a very respectable 13th place.
Nikki Harris was one of the main protagonists during the women’s race. She started the last lap with a few second gap, but couldn’t answer to Sanne Cant’s repeated attacks and after being overtaken by her trade team-mate, Pavla Havlikova, she had to settle for third.
Tom Meeusen started the Superprestige race at Zonhoven strong and led the field when they reached the ankle-deep sand pit.

Due to the good weather, the course wasn’t particularly technical, which resulted in a lead group of eight riders staying together for the most of the race.
Meeusen sensed that, and held on for a great victory
