I got a phone call this morning from the receptionist at my dentist. She had to cancel my appointment as the practice has been burgled over the BHW.
What's worth nicking from a dental surgery?
A crappy P4 tower PC?
A defibrillator?
A shit load of tooth brushes?
AFAIK, they don't hold sedatives like Midazolam or Ketamine these days so no drugs worth taking.
Or just the usual opportunist nobhead break-in?

Benzocaine is used, or was at least in dentistry, it’s also the best cocaine cutting / bulking substance there is because it’s very similar in smell and has the same numbing qualities as cocaine,
Whether dentists typically have the powdered version or carry any quantity I don’t know. Really though, most thieves are pretty stupid.

Not in Bacup was it? Ours friends dental lab got done over the BHW. First the York flags were nicked from outside the practice then they got turned over. Mess everywhere. Lots of very expensive equipment in there but very specialist so no resell value. Our friends have worked so hard to get the business up and running, providing a great service locally in a town desperate for investment and this is how the local scrotes repay them. Council wont even grant plaunning permission for external shutters as it makes the town look unfriendly at night.
Benchtop autoclaves are easily stolen and worth a few quid.

My dentist usually has a nice new attractive assistant every time I go. I'd just assumed they decided it wasn't for them and moved on but perhaps in fact they are being stolen to order.
His practise is in a former house and he's extended into the roof to create a flat he rents out. The main reason he did it was to make sure someone was around the premises when the surgery was closed as while they were never actually broken into people had clearly been coming into the garden of the house. The irony is that shortly after the conversion there was a leak in the flat that meant everything in the surgery part had to be replaced

More than we initially realised is apparently the initial answer. I reckon people addicted to NO2 are the culprits though, they just want really big balloons!
Because the idiots that break into dentist assume that there will be drugs on the premises, (because they are idiots) and they're an easier target than most GP surgeries.
All the drugs and that tasty mouth swilling liquid. I’d love a dentists chair, like a recliner on the ‘roids.
I don't know if they've any drugs of interest but they've shedloads of expensive kit, a lot of it very portable and used everywhere in the world.
And you can probably make a decent raygun from the xray machine, so don't rule out space pirates.

I fear you may be overestimating the intelligence of the sorts of people that break into dentists. It's not like a bike that you can flog to a punter down the pub.
They didn't nick anything, just broke in to do a little DIY. Couple of youtube tutorials, a mate with a steady hand, probably made a lot of sense after a couple of pints.

My local dentist does a roaring trade in fillers, BOTOX, all that mad shit young lassies use to look like Donald duck.

If they'd decided to wander off with an autoclave, they would be rather obvious walking down the road. Pretty much all the kit is expensive to buy but minimal resale value...

Oh good I can tell my safe story.
I arrived at work one Saturday morning to see a feint trail of sand going out of the drive. When I got in I found the place had been burgled and whilst there wasn't much damage the safe had been taken. I'm not sure whether it is a design feature, or whether the thieves had damaged it, but the safe had left a sandy trail which disappeared off down the street. When the police arrived, being quite clever, they decided to follow the trail which duly arrived at the thieves' house! The police had a fair idea who'd done it anyway but the sand confirmed it. Funny thing was it was a seaside town so if they'd only had the bottle to go onto the beach they'd probably have got away with it. I didn't get the morning off though.
To answer the original question though, not that much but then if you're getting it for nowt it's maybe worth having. Lots of PCs, servers, monitors, iPad type things. All the dental stuff is pretty specific but there is a market for secondhand stuff.
Emergency drugs aren't that exciting but there might probably be some midazolam. And obviously the spare keys for the ferrari.
Midazolam has no recreational value. Although you could become a cruel hypnotist for the night!

GTN - for angina - will give you a thumping headache
Glucose
Glucagon (injection releasing body's supply of glucose for diabetic crisis)
adrenaline (epinephrine)
Salbutamol - maybe the intruder was a pro cyclist?
midazolam - as above could be used as a sedative, but normally only a very small amount in stock
so not much fun really!
