Despite searching through various threads on how to post a photo on here from flikr I'm still struggling. I'm trying to do it from my laptop.
Exactly what address do I copy?
If I go to "Share Photo" I can choose from "Share" "Embed" or "BB Code"
or I can copy the url at the top.

Then, do I use the "Link" button on this forum or the "IMG" one or none just paste.

Just trying this latter possibility.

Edited to say.....Goodness me, that actually worked

Just copy the BB code and paste in straight into the thread.

If posting from your phone click the three circles and 2 lines icon below the pic then copy url and paste that straigh into thread.

Thanks @singlespeedstu

What I actually did was just go to the photo and copied the web browser url at the top and copied that into the forum post box as it was with no clicks on links or images.

It seems to have worked ok and there's no flikr url at the bottom either.

So was it a fluke or can I repeat it?

Ooh, didn't know the second method worked, quick test:

Edit: that's a hell of a lot easier, cheers!

In the past I've used the share function (the little zoomy arrow) to get an HTML link:

Tom Brindle Front

I generally usually remove the part of the generated link that creates the subtitle though.

Alternatively if you click on the Download button (down pointing arrow), select "All sizes" and then right-click on the image that loads up and "Copy image address" then you should be able to use that with the IMG button in the editor.

Weekender

But let's try the just using the URL of the page for an image:

Edit: Looks like the share via HTML option produced some extra crap that I've now removed from my post.
