Anyone have links to them?...slow day at work.

I am thinking Picolax thread and the tubeless thread (the guy everyone photoshops onto images now and again).

Any other classics? I may have missed? I am sure there are others.

Mcmoonters - 'let's build a studio' in his garden, is a lovely thread - one of my favourites.

The only thread I've recommended to friends.. laughed myself silly.
http://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/something-i-had-never-thought-about-until-yesterday-bum-wiping-content

In reference to Bearnecessities' recent faux pas, does anyone remember the one a couple of years ago when someone (I have in mind thegreatape, sorry if wrong) took pages of ribbing for an innocent but easily misconstrued "we pass each other regularly on rides but have never spoken, you ride an _____ and generally wear _____, and I think you're smashing. If you read this, maybe we could go for a ride sometime etc etc" type of thread.
I've no idea how to find it, but 'twas funny.

Derek Starships safety announcement was a classic.

Was that the announcement of further terrorist attacks in London, which actually turned out to be a recording of the radio broadcast?

That's the one. The reaction of the STWers and dereks response had me howling.

the picolax thread was funny. I also remember a TDF thread where Landis put in an outstanding performance one day and there had been a long thread about it marked as a spoiler. Then someone pipes in after it finished with a new thread that had a spoiler title and folk went mental about it. that was funny too.

There was another one about someone's child and her 'potty book', which spawned a discussion on toilet habits, at which point someone else mentioned a 'half time wipe' or some such thing.

It was the most screamingly funny thread ever, but I have never been able to find it again, and no one else has ever taken up the challenge. 🙁

About 3 ago, in case anyone is interested.

If I'm allowed to plug one of my own, I thought the "Bouncing boobies" thread was most amusing. However, might get a dose of the banhammer these days...

How do you get Sudocreme off a cat, for the description about the daughter going off for something, but returning with a cycling helmet and emergency union flag. Genius.

This one really didn't need to run beyond the title and first post for me though.

That's how you do, though, Cougar. You appear all squishy, but in reality you're as hard as iron.

Cheers tthew, that was one of mine 🙂
the wife/wifi one was great, and the stupid headset question obviously. That will keep you entertained for days. No-one mentioned footflaps builders yet? Rate my brickie I think.
anything involving aeroplanes and conveyor belts could be a classic but is probably best avoided.

The reason I asked about the Badger thread in this one ->> http://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/anybody-got-an-archive-of-the-badger-thread
/p>

.... was a result of me being introduced to him by someone.

Let's just say the reality lives up to the online persona. And to top it off, he's been banned from attending the annual conference (where I met him) by the organisers - as no-one could stand him....

What happened to the one about the bloke who moved abroad with a girl he had just met? IIRC it was to South Africa. She helped him choose cutlery and everything but then it didn't work out. Think it was about new year time

I wish I had links for:
Churchmouse - something to do with a girlfriend or a girl that was fancied?
Houns cruisin' at the gym...
a mouse in a sofa?

TBH I may well be making those up, it's all a blur.

The one where someone was looking for free graphic design work for a video he'd done. He got shirty when someone pointed out that it was a skill worth paying for. I recall some did do a design for him which involved rainbows flying out of a cyclists backside.

Nearly had an accident reading that one.....

'Dick's shrew'

Must have been years ago.

Family buy Ikea sofa after much wrangling.

small daughter finds comatose shrew and brings it into show dad.

rodent recovers and dives into sofa, but how to remove it?

Was the jist.

Oh, and he had a railway carriage in his garden he was trying to finish painting so he could go riding at the weekend.

Should easily be doable. There are places where you can take in any photo and they put it on a t shirt for you. I have one with a picture of my housemate, she was not amused!
