Picking a jersey was tough. Nearly went for Carrera or Ti-Raleigh, but opted for Kelme in the end.

Part of the tactics of previous games was the ability to swap people out so on a climbing day you could remove the decent (high cost) sprinters, pop in some dead cheap ones and use the extra credit to swap in top rate climbers. Opposite on flat days.

However picking 9 and then leaving them there is more true to life - some of mine are deliberate picks, some are more or less sticking a pin in the drop down list!

Indeed - I'm happy with the "no swaps" aspect, but there are 6 or 7 climbers vying for two spots, and one climber / all-rounder classified as a sprinter

EDIT - sorry, make that at least TWO all-rounders classified as sprinters...

Not sure who's best to back for GC after a tumultuous few tours so have gone for Uran and Kwiatkowski in the hoping of consistent placing.

For Cav's sake I hope so too, I really want to see him win, but he's not the sprinter I've chosen (he's not even top 5, given the classification of WVA and MVdP as sprinters...)

Ah yes, but you could have MvdP in one of the other categories (wildcard I think), which I've done. Haven't got WvA though as I think he was only in the sprinter category.

Wildcard (slot 9) you can add anyone you like. If you want for instance Caleb Ewan plus WvA and MVdP, you're **** out of luck

What an enjoyable way to waste an hour.
I've finally got my team after a few changes.
As usual I've picked favourites rather than riders that will earn me points. Also I usually lose at least 2 from a team before the 3 weeks is up.

Tough day at the office today with most of my QC riders failing to score any points. Howeever, my boy Melier done good 🙂

Happy to be currently in 8th place, especially being the only team in the top ten not to have Alaphilippe on their squad. Hopefully tomorrow sees a little less drama...

First!
Pogacar, Alaphilippe and Cavendish obviously with most of those points but van Aert and Asgreen putting in good perfromances too.
Castroviejo needs to selfishly ride for stage wins and forget his shambles of a team!
And I'm not sure what I was epecting from Grandpa Gilbert - he must have been really cheap.

Meh - I'm 53rd out of 64. What a dreadful bunch of riders I picked. Having Thomas, Porte and Roglic has utterly wrecked any chances I might have had.

Thomas de Gendt is normally good for a futile breakaway but mopping up some intermediate sprint points, he's literally not been seen all race.

Warren Barguil, normally reasonably reliable is similarly invisible - maybe he'll come out a bit more in the mountains.

I saw a quote from Thomas this morning, on the lines of "I did my best ever ten minute effort and normally I'd ride away from the peloton, but today I was struggling to keep up"

I'm riding high in the top 25%. Normally anything like this I'm mid-table mediocrity at best, so I suggest those of you with Pog, Thomas or Van Aert in your teams look out as with my luck they are sure to crash out shortly.
