Following on from a recent thread on here regarding seized crankset bolts, I decided to remove and re torque my NX crankset. True to form, it was stuck fast, but eventually managed to remove the cranks.
The bolt is now royally buggered!
Anyone know of any stock in the UK? Googled, no joy. Tried SJS and no joy.
Also- how does the cap with the 4 holes come off? Special tool?
Pin spanner. You might get it with needle nose pliers or a circlip spanner if it's not done up too tight (ha!) - note: it unscrews clockwise!
I think I might have a dub bolt in my spares box. Since I'm never going near SRAM drivetrain again, I can take a look to see if it's there/useable and bung it to you.
yup, needle nose pliers have worked for me in the past.

Happy to pay/ donate to your charity of choice, that's very kind!
I'll give it a go with the circlip pliers.
PM your address. Stick a few quid in the Gnusmas-fund up in the sticky threads if it works for you. I assume the bolt is standard between the NX/GX iterations?
I believe so. Either way, I'm happy to chip in to the Gnusmas fund.
What amazes me the most is, considering how amazingly functional, durable, uneventful and reasonably priced Shimano cranks are, people still recommend Sram cranks from time to time.
Unless they're trying to ruin someone's life, in that case I understand
