...for the first time in 4 years.

Only 7 miles on the road, but it's a start. Took me longer to find all my kit than the ride was! 🙂

New house, new roads, new motivation - the brain feels clearer after several years of family troubles.

Sometimes just being able to ride your bike is better than all the KOMs in the world .
Welcome back.

Great stuff.

Due to Christmas, manic work and illness I'd hardly ridden the bike since December last year. But for the last 3 weeks I've been going out 2-3 times a week. Nothing mad and longest ride is 25 miles but falling in love with cycling again 😀

@TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsSTR

Not moved far - Oakerthorpe way (without being specific).

Not sure I'll be flinging myself down rocky hillsides any time soon! Just need to get the legs working on the road-bike first and build up some fitness. 🙂

Still got the Ti Inbred as my only MTB - so rolling on those 26" wheels, rigid carbon forks and triple chainset. Proper oldskool! 🤣

Whenever I have had a break, I dread the first ride, but its never as bad as we imagine I find. I just got back from 2hrs hard as #### in the wind and rain, brilliant 🙂

Mix it up. Rides into town on the single-speed, training rides in the hills or the local park and a blast with mates on the road or mtb.

I am the wrong shape to ride well, but I love the bikes the clothes the locations, the history. I have been riding lots since 94 now. Even gave up driving for a few years before kids. Cycling has changed my life for sure. I cant imagine not riding at last a few times a month

It’s the reward that counts more than miles - and your ride sounds like big win 👍🏼

Took me longer to find all my kit than the ride was!

I miss the Dutch bike for this reason (among others). As long as was wearing some type of clothing (for public decency, temperature regulation etc) then I could just step on it and ride. It had an ‘always on’ hub dynamo light and onboard security so didn’t even need to rummage for lights, locks, key etc. Truly liberating.
