I want to put something on my garage floor, ideally I'd paint it but don't want to move everything so just looking at putting some mating down around shelves/benches etc.

There seems to be two types, cheap foam ones and expensive heavy duty ones. Are the foam ones ok for walking about on etc. Won't ever have a car in it.

I bought some 2nd hand ex-gym ones, 18mm high density rubber; designed to have weights dropped on them. About £18 per mat (roughly 2x1m).

I got a pack from Aldi about 8 years ago and they're still fine.

I got some cheapy foam ones from Costco. They are fine, if a little dirty now...

I have the cheap foam ones. They're fine, bit sweat stained now from the turbo and the cleats on my shoes have torn a few holes in them. From Amazon IIRC, but the same ones for sale in Halfords. They are relatively soft foam - even using a track pump on them leaves a permanent mark and the Neo has settled in nicely.

We have the back of the garage done with the Halfords ones, originally bought them when they were half price about 4 years ago to put between the bikes in the camper garage but was too much messing about so used them for what they were intended for. Works well and dont show the oil and grime as much as a painted floor

Cool cheers. Think I'll get some. Should keep the dust down a bit on the floor and make it look a bit tidier in there.

I use an old carpet. Soaks up everything.

I use the Halfords ones, they’re fine and hard wearing.

Makes my stand a bit wobbly so I set that up to the side.
