Sent Magura a mail recently, my post was not holding charge. As you may know, they're Ant+ remote, not cable/hydraulic posts. Which means i can either not fit for rides, or fit to other bikes. As i rarely use a dropper i mostly leave it at home.

But the charge only lasted 20-30 drops last week at Swinley, i noticed over winter it was having some issues too....

So, emailed the guys at Magura, the post is out of warranty now (assuming 2 years) and they said "Send it back we'll take a look"... No worries with that, i'm happy to pay for a repair etc.

So that was monday, sent 2nd class. This morning i got a dropper in the post which has been serviced and had a new 'Elect' unit fitted (the control unit for dropper). No cost, no charge, just excellent service.

Most impressed.

Yep they are great. I bought a Vyron V2 from Rose bikes had to send it back once as there was some stiction, process was painful took 3-4 weeks. 2nd time around I noticed the head was swivelling a bit decided to call Magura UK sent it to them, new post in the mail a few days later.

Was the elevt unit the upgraded version? Even bigger bonus if it was.

@tuskaloosa how much movement did your post have?

Me and my Wife are going to get another one (each) eventually for the XC bikes.

Still maintain that mine was one of the best droppers I've had. The small delay wasn't an issue after a couple of mins using it.

Key difference is speed of release I think. No idea if the new part can be retro fitted, always meant to ask but never did.

Nixie, at first very slight (just a little play) then sometime later the seat rotated about 20-30 deg to one side (had me worried). Didn't dare try rotating to see how far further it was going to go!.

it had basically unbonded from the stanchion

We could argue it's poor... but my dropper was not returning fully.

It's now 4 years old, so way out of warranty... But i emailed Magura and asked them if i could get it serviced.
"Send it in and we'll sort it..."

So yesterday afternoon it was sent to them.... This afternoon i got a mail checking to see where i want it sending back to....

That's just great service once again from them.

Massively impressed.
