My new Teng torque wrench has just arrived, and on picking up the box it turns out one end is torn and the torque wrench in its case (one of those blown plastic ones) has slid out and landed on the carpeted concrete floor. Should be ok, or not?
Probably done it in the Royal Mail van as well I shouldn’t wonder.
Be fine.
Test it (approximately). Put a bit in the vice and hang a load off it until it clicks. Then do the maffs.
I’ve just googled ‘dropped torque wrench’ and top of the list is my thread on here from 4 years ago when I did it 😀 (not in its case that time though). What an idiot.
Wont have been the first knock its had on the way from china to you.
It's not that big of a deal. You're not building space shuttles are you?
Not yet molgrips, perhaps later...
Thanks, all that ^ is sufficient to put my mind at rest !
