I see that its open again. I am keen to go, love the place.
Some of the lads were there on the weekend it opened and said that the whole place was carnage, huge queues on the uplift, cafe couldn't cope with numbers and covid restrictions. The two groups a day policy meant that between 1130-3pm the car park was overfull, apparently people parking all the way down to the roundabout?
What about on the trails? Many people?
So has it calmed down yet? Was anyone there this BH weekend?

Went on Friday for the day. It was really busy at first and the first lot of buses took a good 30 mins to get loaded on their way. At that point I was thinking we'd be lucky to get 6 runs in.
After that 1st uplift though it was good and generally got straight on and set off soon after.
Ended up with 8 runs as I was pretty much done by that point and it started hailing so called it a day. Could have probably squeezed in another couple of runs so that shows it must have been running ok.
There are a few blacks closed like 50 shades and pork chop. The new trails are good fun, merthyr rocks is similar to Rim Dinger minus the drops and Groot was a nice natural trail which reminded me a little of some of the trails in FoD.

Cheers, I wonder what it was like on Sat, Sun and Mon, as I can only go on weekends.
I used to go on Fridays when I had the time, and it was always a bit quieter.

Drove past on Monday. Biblical levels of horizontal rain so I doubt it was much fun. Might've been quieter though

I rode there Saturday, didn't seem too much busier than normal to me but I've only ever pedal-passed there. No real traffic on the trails but I was often out of sync with the uplifters. Lots of people do stop right at the exit of trails rather than riding out to the side but I suspect that's normal. Only been 3 times.

This a whole other conversation...

Went on Saturday for morning uplift. Got 6 runs in and could have done 7 if my riding buddy hadn't had two big otb on roots manoeuvre and cracked his ribs. 😆
First uplift was pretty crazy wait and I began to think it was going to be not much riding done but the process was speedier as the morning went on. A couple of times we had to wait for buses. The queue was long. Place was really busy. Cafe was packed but I took my own food.
Car park was rammed.
It's busy, it's now pretty expensive, but it's still good fun. I'd go back again for a morning uplift. I've done whole days before at bpw and only managed 6 runs!
