Planning on doing the BB on Monday.  I've done it before so know my way round the standard route. Seen plenty of mentiones of extending the route a bit on here and would like to do that. So I'm sat here with the OS map in front of me (Friday night 🤘) looking for suggestions!!

I don't really want anything too mental (I've added warnscale bottom on before,  not sure I've got the fitness to get back up honister after that again right now! ) and I don't really want to be p!ssing walkers off if I can avoid it.

Walla Crag at start.

Go to the top of Honister, then carry up onto Dale Head. Many options from here... all epic.

Descend to Dale Head Tarn, then head down through Rigg Head Quarries to rejoin the bash at the top of the Graveyard.

Ascend High Spy then maiden moor to hause gate and down to the bash.

Ride / Push over to Robinson then take the Blea Crag Ridge down to Newlands.

Or Hindsgarth and down Scope End. My least recommended.

I'm looking at walla cragg on the map, from Keswick town centre,  what's the recommended route around this bit? Or are we not allowed to say it out loud!?

Descend to Dale Head Tarn, then head down through Rigg Head Quarries to rejoin the bash at the top of the Graveyard

This looks interesting!

I consider myself a seasoned lakes rider (fine on unlock,  whiteless, hobcarton etc) but  really don't like that descent off dale head.

Personally if starting keswicj I'd do walla, remainder of bash then if wanting another few hours, do skiddaw / ullock

Brill,  got this,  will give it a go.

As much as I want to tick ullock off,  don't think I've got the fitness/time to do this in one day!! Maybe later in the year.

Did the bash today.  Weather was pretty minging this morning so Walla crag was a bit unpleasant! Good riding though and great view,  would like to try again on a nice day.  Took the right hand fork through the woods after birketts leap,  not done that before,  some nice singletrack through there. Didn't do Dale head,  I've got plenty of excuses!  Weather perked up by the time I got to grange, nice brew and cake outside  then back via the catbells fellside path. Good day out,  got dalehead on the to do list for a nice day!! Thanks for the advice!!
