Is it Friday then?

There's only two days in my house day now, Bin Day and Clapping Day, we don't clap ourselves, but my Wife likes to stand at the Window and bask in it / judge others.

P-Jay beat me to it, Clap day is the day before bin day. then I have two days of staring listlessly into space, when it's back to that weird day that this thing that I've remembered is called an "Alarm" goes off, and I've a strange compulsion to do something...If only I could remember what that was, I think it was important...

an “Alarm” goes off

Our is 5 years old now and likes to demand food, but even she's lapsed to 07:45 from her usual 06:45.

I've been informed by a couple of people in a different industries that everyone is going back the work first week of June. This might be a shock to the system for me.

My work has got very busy again for the last few days and next week look manic. I may have to start getting to sleep before 1am.

As long as you don't live in a specific part of Amsterdam, I suppose that's OK.

It wouldn't be a great money spinner.

LOL @PJay and CFH collision.

They've gone from clapping to letting off fireworks and singing over PAs in Nobland.

I set the clapping off in my street by a couple of blasts from an old pair of airhorns rigged up to my air compressor!

Ha ha.

FYI I know a lot of Medics, my Wife included, they don't clap. When things were really bad they would have preferred you stay in-doors, now they'd rather you remember this next time there's an election or a Tory starts telling us the NHS can be made more efficient by cutting funding or selling bits off.

Well, it would be a niche market, but I think there would be some folk that would pay quite handsomely to be publicly judged from a window by someone. If you live on/near a street that is usually quite busy, might be worth giving is a try. Make the sign look professional though and get the money up front.

We have wine day, beer day, cider day, clap day/bin day, gin day and then it's the weekend when refreshment choice is free.

We have the excitement of alternating recycling day and green bin day every other bin day.
I know it's Friday today though as Friday Fails was on the Youtubes and we had gin.

We have clap day followed immediately by bin day. We can safely walk about in the road chasing loudly from a social distance. The real purpose isn't one of neighbourliness but to check the recycling bins so we can post the drinking performance results on the WhatsApp group later. We're hovering in 3rd presently. There has been discussion if you can get more points for spirits compared to wine or beer.

I know it's Friday cos I don't work Fridays. I've done more today than any of the days I'm WFH though.

Today I've built a bench, washed the car, swept the garden, mowed the lawn, took the kids for a run, went for a bike ride and then went shopping. I'm bloody knackered...

We don't even seen to have bin day anymore, they randomly empty them between 1 and 4 days after the allotted day depending on how they feel....

I've taken to drinking gin most days to cope with the stress of not knowing when they'll empty it...

I know today’s a day. As things stand, that’s all that matters. Things will seem weird when I’m told there’s actually things I have to do on a specific day of the week, at specific times. Not sure how I’m going to cope with that.
