Brilliant.
RM.
You don't look how I imagined you somehow.
Though you have mastered the "local paper sad face" look, I have to say
That story has something of the Sun's 'Dierdre's Photo Casebook' about it. And I for one think that's a good thing
You don’t look how I imagined you somehow.
100%
In my head he looked like a skinny, glasses wearing guy. Kinda Ben Elton-esque.
Funny how you build up a mental image of people you've never met

I thought he’d be taller in real life and a ginge 🙂
Love it
Can I have your Permission binners to put life size pic of your face on my gate to scare burglars away 😉
Kinda Ben Elton-esque.
A Sell out ?
You don’t look how I imagined you somehow.
I thought exactly the same.
If this story is of no interest whatsoever and you want proper news…
Love it.

I feel a ‘90’s Binners’ pic should be posted, to further mess with folks perceptions 😊
Tom – I don’t know if the world is ready for that?
Only one way to find out 😉
<searches for 'before and after meth' poster from US in preparation> 🙂
It’s more a ‘before and after pies’
Just say no to Greggs, kids.
God help me if anyone finds any old or new pictures of me and posts them on here. 🙂
Look at his sad sad face!
Binners is probably also sad that his shock is flat. I'm sad that he is clamping his bike by the top tube (sadly, he will say it was for the picture). Such a sad news story. Please post more pictures of happy people riding their bikes, like on Instagram.
At the risk of stroking controversy; where does one normally clamp ones bike? Have I unknowingly committed a terrible faux pas?
Oh... and it’s a weird double chamber, pull-rear shock. That’s it fully pressurised. It actually runs pretty bonkers pressures

Extend dropper, clamp just under seat, use an old rag to avoid scratches.
Brilliant! Can we get a Binners bike check please? Also you remind me of a famous pie eating goalkeeper!
Ah, yes it is...a Fox Dyad shock which means Cannondale. Such immense sadness. You Northerners are a hearty bunch, hardened by trails made by/for steeplejacks, always damp shoes, a lack of melatonin and vitamin D. Thank goodness for the pies, tow paths to get home on and coal fires in the hearth. People who care about their frames clamp their bikes by the seatpost but, then again it's a Cannondale. 😜
People who care about their frames clamp their bikes by the seatpost
Merely one of the many indignities it has had to endure. If it could speak, it would have phoned social services by now
Cannondales... the ginger stepchild of mountain bikes
There's nothing wrong with clamping the top tube. It's only taking the weight of a bicycle. It doesn't have to be clamped with any force.
#prayforbinners
🤣
Think we should start a gofundme for a Greggs steakbake. Clamping by the dropper post is madness! The top tube allows better weight distribution and means you can have the stand lower for better centre of gravity or something. If you mean for carbon frames then buy a proper frame made from steel so you can clamp as god intended.
Lol, great stuff! I also never thought Binners looks, well, how he looks.😁
Also think it's a really good idea to integrate the forum into the main pages more. More please.👍
You don’t look how I imagined you somehow.
looks EXACTLY how I imagined, them Manc fans are made in factories (not near Trafford 😂)

+1

Also +1
Must be his political beliefs suggest a different build 😉
I’m surprised anyone is surprised by how I look. I’ve always worn my old, bald and fat status with pride
And just when you're thinking STW is a bunch of self-righteous gits... Cheers Hannah! (and Lauren?) 😆
Mavellous.

Coffee/keyboard moment there

What, like on this thread ? (sorry, couldn't resist)
What, like on this thread ? (sorry, couldn’t resist)
Aye, that ought to do it!
That’s not ‘the picture’ they’re talking about. This one was from the 90’s but it’s not that bad. Me behind the bar at the Hac, circa 1990-something

Don’t do pies, kids.
I think a match the forum name to the face and their bike quiz might be in order! I’ll add it to the ‘one day’ list 🙂
I have studied that picture carefully and I still have no idea which of those 3 people is Binners!😂
I’m surprised anyone is surprised by how I look. I’ve always worn my old, bald and fat status with pride
I don't blame you mate, it has a cuddly lovable baby-like appeal.
I think the surprise comes from the fact that the energy levels you appear to exude, when in full ranting mode (Ben Elton style) like Buster Bloodvessel belies your portly stature.
The usual suspects to photo forum challenge would be fun...
I wish I hadn’t opened this. The lead’s singer of Bad Manners is called Adam? All my illusions destroyed.

Ernie... how right you are, my friend. A certain forum member who’s not been seen for a while always used to call me....

That’s a great idea. I’ve formed mental images of most people on here and it would be interesting (or frightening) to see how they compare to reality.

You don’t even have to do the quiz...
‘he only popped in for coke’
oh aye?
You’ve got the compo face mastered!
Ive met binners a couple of times on rides (a good few years ago mind) and yet i was still surprised that's what he looks like.
Presuming the chimney is at the back of the shed? The one for the pie oven. 😉
Haha, like reading the old village paper…
Anti-aircraft gun on top of the shed is a nice touch.
I have studied that picture carefully and I still have no idea which of those 3 people is Binners!😂
The one on the left.
The lady in the middle isn't binners because well, she's a lady person.
The one on the right isn't binners as it's mick Hucknall.
Anti-aircraft gun on top of the shed is a nice touch
That’s a decoy to draw attention away from the death ray under the patio
It's amazing, i barely recognised you from the Churchill insurance adverts
You don’t look how I imagined you somehow.
He doesn't look how I imagined him and I've been out on a ride with the bugger.
How did you have the skill to do that and yet miss the low-hanging fruit?
It's Greggs Wallace.
The obvious burning question seems to have been missed.
Is that some kind of weird Son’s of Anarchy gillet thing he’s wearing?
Its just my Sombrio softshell. As is always the case there was a fine drizzle during the perpetual greyness that seems to constitute Mat this year
...perpetual greyness that seems to constitute Mat this year
If you must abbreviate my name, I prefer a double t but you've summed up my mood beautifully.

Thought I'd seen him somewhere - enjoying a quiet pint on a Manchester night out
I always thought that all the references to Greggs and pies etc was a bit ironic.
I pictured him as a tall, slim, cross country type racing snake!
No, it's most definitely literal 🙂
Binners,I always envisaged you as a mash up of Vin Diesil and Marc Riley.
I think I was quite close 😉 🙃🤣
Binners once came to my aid to transform an Orange P7 frame, I'll never forget that.
Well, at least you got axles. I got another email from Garmin this morning to tell me my Tacx thru axle for the turbo trainer I bought in January is delayed agian until at least July. 6 months for a threaded bar.
