possibly unlikely on here, but you never know.
anyone us any of the Adamo saddle?
thoughts please
Do you mean ISM?  https://www.ismseat.com/
I use them on both my road and MTB.  I have an older Attack model on my road bike as I prefer the thin profile, and the newer PN1.1 on my MTB. Basically the same saddle, just with a bit more padding.
They work for me.
Tony - yes, swopped over before prostate cancer surgery, FB me if you want more info
Used to - when I had UT problems (solved by removing prostate and bladder, that'll teach 'em).
Ok on the road, although I found them a bit wide at the nose. Actually quite comfy apart from that.
Couldn't really get on with them for proper mtb though.
I've recently put one on the TT bike, and find it very good in the TT position, compared to other saddles I have used. It took a lot of experimentation to find the right set up, however, so be patient if it doesn't feel right initially.
I've got the PN1.0, which is one of the narrower models, I think.
I had one on my tt Bike when I raced. It was quite comfortable but did need a lot of fettling to set up initially. Tip I was given was don’t set it up on a turbo but on the road
setup is crucial, and there are really good vids on the ISM site. As they have no 'nose' and you sit on your sit bones, the starting point is, in relation to a regular saddle, put it 5cm further back and 1 cm lower, with the rails level or slight up (a few degrees) at front.
First few rides I found my sit bones tender, then I got used to it. I have them on all 6 bikes and won't be going back. Have the mtb version on 3 of them, and various Performance Long ones on road, gravel and track bikes.
Some places have free demo ones
messaged you Iain.
yep have one on the TT. Concur it takes a while to get used to them.
I like mine, they do however look fugly and are pretty heavy
fugly and are pretty heavy
like me then.............. ;o)
Got them on my road and TT bikes. Alot more comfortable for me than a normal saddle.
Not got one for the MTB yet, not sure why.
Yup got them on mtb, cx and commuter. Breakaway / pl 1.1 so slightly longer and a bit more padding.
Rented a demo one from Pedal Pedal first. Wouldn't go back to a normal saddle.
Was one of the first folk in the UK using the Adamo in long distance triathlon back in 2005/2006. I see it has been discontinued now.
As above setup is crucial. If setup and sat on like a normal saddle it is a lot worse than a 'normal' saddle. If done right it puts more stress on your wrists but I got rid of the numbness I was getting spending hours at a time in the aero position.
I never got on with the concept on normal road or mtbs however. In truth I have never found normal saddles that uncomfortable more sat up so never tried to hard to get it right.
I've had them on a couple of bikes, tried a few of their models. Liked them but no more than the Specialized I was using before. Need a bit of careful setup and getting used to.
Not so stealth ad I have 2 of the ISM Century I'll be selling.
I have them on all my bikes now after I developed numbness down there almost overnight one day on the bike. Till then I had only ever used Flite ti saddles on all my bikes but the intensity of the numbness meant I took the weight and style hit and went to ISM. Never looked back and happy I made the move. Expensive new so I bought all mine second hand for about a third of rrp.
I had one briefly on the TT bike but I couldn't seem to get it to work. Having followed the instructions and videos, it still felt like I was falling off the front but then when sat further back it was only possible to ride quite bow legged and was quite uncomfortable.
Used one on the TT bike. It was ok.
Tried one on the rigid bike packing rig, ok but not perfect.
Got a Spesh Power jobbie on there now and love it.
Having followed the instructions and videos...
I followed the set up instructions and they didn't work for me, so I just experimented until I got a comfortable position. I ended up with the saddle in a very forward position, slightly lower and tilted slightly down. Very different from the position that worked for one of the other users above!
Have one on the TT bike I bought second hand. Unlike others it took no setup, and no time to adjust to, just comfy from ride 1. Find it works best with more thinly padded shorts.
