Anyone tried those new ODI Reflex grips?

I like the discontinued Specialized SIP XL grips but mine are quite worn and haven’t gone magically sticky like happened in the final months of the last pair. And I like thick soft Deathgrips but would rather they went narrower not thicker at the inner mushroom bit.

Tried some Deity Lockjaw grips but they were a bit skinny, a bit soft (both in squishines and roughness) and not that sticky.

But these Reflex grips look like they could tick a lot of boxes!

I have a set on my hardtail, I generally don't like 'soft' grips because I find them too squirmy and end up subconciously gripping tighter to stpp the squirm until I give myself arm pump.

These seem to have enough support in the design that they don't do that, pretty happy with them so far. They're wearing really well so far as well.

Only thing is that the XL versions are very big, I take an XL glove and still find the standard ones better, YMMV of course.

Fitted but not ridden. Went for the standard size which seem pretty similar to the thick Dearhgrip on my other bike. Initial impressions feel squishier than desthgrip race day grip and a lot softer than the ODI elite pro they replaced.

Interesting, would definitely consider them. Currently using Spank Spike 33, they are a bit Mushroomy / deathgrippy but thicker and the core has a hole where your palm goes so you get noticeably more comfort than a standard lock on.

These grips came on my Cannondale and they're blimmin lovely. Like a half mushroom and literally don't notice them when riding, which to me is the sign of a perfect grip. Half the price of the ODIs too! I'll buy em off you if you get some and don't like them 🙂

I don't think the ODI Reflex are that sticky, if that's what you're after.

Thanks all! I don’t mind them not being sticky in terms of compound as long as they’re grippy in terms of texture. The Deathgrips manage the latter pretty well!

Those Deity ones are too soft in texture, like a knobbly tyre that’s had all the biting edges rounded off. The SIP XL were great when new (texture grip) and the last pair were great when v old (compound grip) but the current ones appear to have ended up in no-man’s land…

Yeah they have plenty of traction but don't feel 'sticky' to the touch, which is a good thing, means they may last a bit longer and be easier to keep vaguely clean if you go for coloured ones.

Have had the Reflex grips on my Levo for a couple of weeks now. Really impressed! Squishy without being squirmy; grippy without being rough; not tacky but certainly not slippery.

I’m curious about the v new One-Up thick grips for when the DeathGrips on my hardtail wear out but so far these ODI Reflex are beating everything I’ve tried.

Sounds like the new Oneup grips could be right up your alley, going off your original post,
I'm considering giving them a try in my never ending quest for the holy grail of grips, I never keep a grip long enough to wear out, although my Oury ones are getting there, my Deity knuckleduster are still like new.
