Just wondered has anyone done one? What’s it’s like?

In these covid times seems a more sensible approach to delivering the course.

It’s a bit odd calling it a zoom speed awareness course but guessing that jokes been done already!

Mate of mine did one last Friday. Went very well by the sounds of it, like most of these courses you get the highest benefit by engaging. One idiot apparently was kicked off half way through by being a dick and ranting about the usual stuff (revenue raising, not my fault, yada yada....). All in he said it was worth it and over quicker than he thought it would be.

I know someone that did one last week. Small group, quicker than an on-site one, informative, interactive, good natured, no bother. Make sure you’re prepped before hand with ID, IT etc as I expect they would treat foreseeable issues as non-attendance.

Apparently.

The waiting time to book one is fairly quick so guessing they can fit these in quicker and cheaper than classroom sessions.

I thought the inconvenience of attending the course far away was part of the retraining, so doing it online doesn't do that.
I think it is a good thing, probably worth everyone doing it as a refresher/reminder.

Across the West Midlands all the physical course seem fairly convenient, guessing there’s an excess of office space...

Did one a month ago and it was far less painful than the one I attended several years ago. Much shorter and better presented

Course done, content was good and tbh surprising the difference 1mph makes when stopping, delivery not so good, mainly due to the tech you can tell it’s been rushed together as a solution but it’s better than just going to a fine and points. Did learn a few bits, and it was short only 2 hours once it started but took 45 mins to get in and register.
