Zastrugi/Planet X tents and alternatives

I have a lightweight tent that's pretty old but suits my needs just fine. The problem is, my sister asks to borrow it every year and I have to post it to her because she lives hundreds of miles away. Her birthday's coming up and I'd like to buy her a tent of her own to save postage costs. Usual birthday present budget is £50 and, to be honest, we don't get on well enough for me to want to spend more.

I was looking at the Planet X Zastrugi Deluxe 2 person tent.

https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/Z2PDTENT/zastrugi-deluxe-2-person-tent

There's only two of them, they use it to camp once a year for a long weekend and will very rarely want to carry it too far but they seem to like my lightweight one so this looked similar. I've not found many real world reviews online. Has anyone got one, do you rate it?

Are there any alternatives at a similar price?

Thanks.

Something from Planet X sounds like the ideal gift for someone you don't get in well with.

Usual answer would be something Lanshan off AliExpress

Not sure that will squeeze into a £50 budget though.

I almost bought the 1-man Zastrugi tent from Planet X - I found a review that reckoned it was pretty good apart from one of the poles being monumentally tight to fit.
This is not the same review I looked at, but it is a Zastrugi tent. Looks OK to me - very similar to the Naturehike Cloud-up tents in design.

Go Outdoors have a sale on at the moment, with several heavily reduced tents - 2-man & slightly larger 3-man.
Most of them seem to be a similar weight to that Zastrugi one (3kg). Although not sure any of them are any better.

I bought my Robens Arch 2 from Wiggle for £62.....It is 2.2kg, but bombproof feeling, nicely designed and just right for a lot of adventures.
I will miss my 1kg Alpkit, but it is also tissue paper thin and not as resilient in a wind or rain.

I've got the green zastrugi tent, bought it when it was about 35 quid. It is polyester but its certainly as good as youll get for the money. I went for it over the red one as it looked less faffy to put up.

It looks fine for the money. Shame its inner first. I really don't like inner first, especially in Scotland if theres any chance of rain (which there always is 😆  )

Also be nice if the door could be pegged out the front while open to provide a bit more shelter for cooking. Maybe you can, but the vid didn't show if you could.

@ravingdave

We haven't used it yet but while checking it was OK it was a doddle to put up. It also went back into it's bag easily which isn't always a given! 🤣

Cheers all, I've gone for the Zastrugi as the best options on Go Outdoors had sold out and everything else was more of a festival type tent. Also, turns out she needs it by Saturday so I didn't want to lose any more time!
