I posted a very short video first start in nearly 2 years yesterday (only to post it on another forum) - apparently it's been watched 1500 times already. 😲

A short instructional video for one of my apps I posted two weeks ago has been watched 3 times 😂

Wotcha got?!

Nothing yet, but I'm waiting for the heavy rain so I can go and remove leaves from blocked drains with a rake.

Most of mine get a few hundred but one has 245,000. I did actually put a bit of effort in with a few different camera angles. I see I also have 309 subscribers now, they might be waiting a while. I've put up about 30 videos ever and none in the last 3 years. My least has 18 views in 14 years

Best I can do is 4200 views with 78 likes. But yes we need to see YOUR video to make any comment.

My work has the largest Gaelic language video/film of all time on YT apparently. 2.5m+ views.
Cute kids being cute outdoors and reciting the Gaelic bear hunt.... 😍

I play occasionally in a blues trio. We played a couple of charity events, and I posted the videos of our performances online. Very very few views. There goes any idea of a new career!

(just search ‘John Hegarty blues band’ if you happen to be interested, but obviously feel free not to!)

I did a video on how to attach a GoPro style conntector onto a cheap ebay light 8 years ago, that currently has 30k views. A few forest rally crash videos that have between 14k and 17k. Also a review on a hose attachment spray foam bottle that got 13k. Not giving up the day job yet!

I have a channel but I don't think my 8 views of riding at Dyfi is going to trouble the Jones/Pilgrim/Kerrs!  (I only use it for storing my vids)

My work has the largest Gaelic language video/film of all time on YT apparently. 2.5m+ views.

Do you receive any payments for this?  Or is it just the sponsored type of 'Tuber that do?

We decided not to monetise because we were concerned over the adverts shown - it is very much a kids film.

In addition, the way YT now works you need more than one video, lots of subscribers etc to even be able to monetise it...

But fun to have 2.5m none the less. A good few other of our videos are in the tens and a couple in the hundreds of thousands.

The video was payed for by Scottish Government.

604 views of a skydiving trip to Seville last year. I think that gained me a subscriber. I think I have 5 now.

You need a lot of viewers to monetise a channel. 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours watched in 12 months or 10,000,000 views in 90 days

I started trying to make allotment/cooking vids for you tube under Eats, Roots & Leaves a while back. Safe to say I've canned that now. Had a few people watching but man does it take a lot of time. Not something I have the skill or time for.

I've never put anything on YT. I can't imagine why I'd want to.

I have some very funny videos from when my children were small (they're all adults now) that have the potential to go viral, but they're family videos and personal. It's not my place, or character, to put them in the public domain.

11 thousand people have watched a younger version of me inflate a bicycle tyre. It is neither a good video, nor a particularly exciting tyre inflation. Youtube is weird.

A really old video I put up in the early days of YouTube (it's been removed since 2010 for safety) that was basically me and a few mates singing silly songs while jumping off a bridge into the river Usk was briefly the most watched video for a whole 5 days. Sadly the reason it went viral was down to a kid doing the same thing from the same bridge not checking the water depth and plunging to his death. The water was 3m deep when we did it, under a meter when he jumped. It was the only video of the bridge being jumped off so got picked up by lots of media channels, none of us knew this was going on so didn't stop it earlier. I removed it as soon as I knew what was going on as the local council was worried about copycats having a go. Think it hit over a million views each day!

Not youtube, but twitter, got lucky and spotted a distinctly unpleasant tweet from a well known racist politician about 2 seconds after they posted, so got the first (negative) response in. Ended up with about half a million views, thousands of comments and retweets before i went to bed.

Got up in the morning to find my tweet had disappeared, and my account had been deactivated.

Apparently calling out a racist politician for promoting badly thought out racist and inhuman policies gets you in trouble...

It's not the first time i've been hoofed off twitter... 😀

I had a video (VCR) of a young Jonah Lomu playing the 7s that didn't appear to be available anywhere, so I ripped and uploaded it -
"New Zealand v Fiji 1995" - 321,000 views. Oh yes! And no copywrite infringement report 🙂 Jonah was bloody awesome.

Ye Gads, that was harsh, and the sounds you were making were rather worrying to your mate.

Oh the joys of flat pedals.

By far and away my most watched YT video is of a real world test of winter tyres filmed on the farm driver about 11 years ago. Currently on 91K views.
A short video of me as a 7 year old on our farm back in the 70s has racked up 36K views too.
