This thread brings back memories. Countless weekends and holidays squirreling time away. Great games and remember them all so far, but these were my favourites (apart from the pinball machines and pool).

Phoenix (table top version)
Outrun
Daytona
Mr Do
Roadblasters
Streetfighter II

I was 10 when it came out, the perfect age for it.

I take it everyone here has had a go with MAME and the like so they can play all these games on a modern PC?

Or go further and use a Raspberry Pi and RetroPie

Tim Hunkin is ace. If you're ever near Southwold, go visit his arcade on the pier, and if you're in London, pay Novelty Automation a visit in Holborn.

Super Locomotive for me. Went on holiday to Swanage every year as a kid and all my holiday money went on this. Eventually turned up one year and it had gone - never saw it anywhere else 🙁

As a result of this thread I just discovered a very good free Asteroids clone for iPad! There's also 'Atari's Greatest Hits' (not free) - including Tempest!

But the whole arcade thing - playability was a lot about the buttons ...anyone know of good compatible controllers for ipads?
