2 tickets for Craig Charles funk and soul night, can't wait 🙂
I bought another 36 hours with my personal trainer, having sworn to myself I was going to find a cheaper way of not getting old and flabby. She is excellent value, in fairness.
🙂
How fit do you think you can get by tomorrow afternoon?
Yes Big
A trip back to the UK from Tassie for 3 weeks this August, I was just seeing how much flights were and then they were a good price...
by tomorrow afternoon
Very good... 😀
Some Rab trousers and a jumper. Having some credit in my PayPal account is a very dangerous thing.
a twix.
Was at the Sale V Pau game on Saturday, bloomin' cold & they were selling these Sale-branded Result Snowbird jackets..
£65 minus my season ticket discount later & I was nice and warm.
Bit miffed to find them on sale (fakes?) online for a fair chunk less..
2 nice brass wing nuts for my old Dawes. Didn't even know if the threads would match. They do.

A Voile split kit for my snowboard. What could possibly go wrong?
Would be an impressive collection if they were real OP! Hope you didn't pay too much!
Two 4 packs of Crunchies. They were 4 for the price of 3.
Ice hockey goalie equipment from a guy on eBay.
I was terrified to tell Mrs SaxonRider.
Would be an impressive collection if they were real OP! Hope you didn't pay too much!
Fake Lego minifigs?
A pack of Xmas cards from St Thomas' in Heptonstall yesterday for a fiver.
Impluse purchase? Hmmmmmmmm...
Ticket to El Vy gig in Camden next month.
I'm too old for gigs...
Weeksy's winning so far! That looks awesome.
@Zilog - aren't they real? Just found the receipt. 40 of the 48 are genuine. Not sure which 8 aren't. It was for charity anyway!
Fake Lego minifigs?
Customised, huge trade in them. I buy them for my nephews, most are hand painted and then sprayed with lacquer.
picked up an overlocker sewing machine on ebay today bit sad when you look at weeksy's 🙁
did buy new surfboards for me and youngest antigee last week - southern hemisphere school hols are nearly here 😀
Fair enough. It's impossible to tell from the photo - the fakes are very good, you need to hold them to tell really. A few stick out like a sore thumb though because as good as the actual figures are, they never bother to get the accessories right. The Bane figure is actually cooler as the real one doesn't have a fabric coat like that & Cap America's helmet looks better than the Lego one! That Hulk figure on the top row is quite rare so that's a dead giveaway. There is also at least one which Lego has never done (the vaguely Thundercats looking one with yellow hair)@Zilog - aren't they real? Just found the receipt. 40 of the 48 are genuine. Not sure which 8 aren't. It was for charity anyway!
They look cool though especially presented like that which is the main thing! I have a few myself that the GF unwittingly picked up for me at boot fairs.
People will fake anything they can make money off. They are all over eBay.Fake Lego minifigs?
Well unplanned and not required it would have been a new phone, the oneplus two - I got an email that I had to respond to within 24 hours or my invite was cancelled - pressure selling!
Possible purchase today which anyone can feel free to comment on is the turbo trainer at 50% off on wiggle. I'm about to lose a 12 mile a day commute and feel a turbo might be the answer - opinions?
A 95p "delivered" waterproof phone bag from ebay. I wouldn't want to throw it in a pool with my phone inside TBH, but its good for protecting it inside a camelbak.
My chromebook. Not really an impulse, I've been umming and ahhhing about whether to get one or to get another laptop to replace the one that's currently dying on its arse for ages, and even after a fair bit of reading wasn't sure what decision.
Then was browsing just to get a bit more info, saw a recon for a decent price, suddenly it's bought just like that.
Loads of my purchases are the same. Ages to work out the right thing to do followed by a sudden 'bollocks, just do it' moment. Am i psychologically flawed in some way?

That's how I usually operate, but that doesn't make it normal!
The wetsuit in Decathlon on Saturday, down from £69 to £11 and the next size up for the eldest_oab....
Yamaha Pacifica electric guitar and amp starter set. Probably shouldn't have bought it but never mind.

+1 😳
Old laptop with a serial port so I can use 16/32bit software to help diagnose older classic cars.
Tama Star Classic drum kit which was an utter bargain on Gumtree.
Packet of Minstrels in the village shop.....
Zeiss Duralyt 3-12x50 riflescope. Special offer from Uttings, clearest optics I've ever had on the .243. Awesome twilight and lamping setup.
Two armoured shrimp for my tropical fish tank. Went in for some plants but these looked super cool and Dave the fish man convinced me.

They spent about 15 minutes scouting around the tank then found a nice spot inside a large shell and I haven't seen the buggers since.
Awe crap, I succumbed at the weekend to a few things I don't need (well I do but hey)
4 bottles of whiskey (various brands) Waitrose has a sale on and it's designed to capture whiskey drinkers at Xmas innit - £150 gone.
Rapha rucksack, I don't need one, never have needed one yet but I liked the Blue coloured one and hey, I bought a bundle of socks and a wallet too.. £340 gone.
Rapha data Print Winter Gillet, bloody hated them for like eva and never would wear one but sod it, it's black and green and matches one of my LS Jerseys, was handy on yesterdays ride into the frost and lanes of North Herts, £120 gone.
Earphones (bud type) left my "work" ones at home so went and bought another pair today, £40 gone.
I really do need to reel in my spending. 🙄
Bottle of Whyte and Mackay whiskey from Waitrose in that ^^^ sale. Good for making Whiskey Macs
Exposure Diablo. Didn't really need it, but was recently very impressed so just went for it
Was so close to buying a Kona Ute on Friday, took enormous willpower to hold back. Don't really need it and more importantly have no room for it
Rapha rucksack, I don't need one, never have needed one yet but I liked the Blue coloured one and hey, I bought a bundle of socks and a wallet too.. £340 gone.
You spent [s]£90[/s] £110 on socks?
Bikebouy - Have you ever heard the phrase 'more money than sense'?
Rapha rucksacks? Pfft! Whats wrong with coke and hookers?
😉
A second hand Garmin Vivoactive watch off of here...very impressed so far!
Last big thing was seen late on the Saturday and ordered over the phone first thing Sunday morning
That is an impressive impulse buy!
A VFR 800, 2003 14k miles.
Not my kind of bike, but it was going very cheap from a family member who's given up riding - so cheap it would have been silly not to have it (that's what I've told myself anyway!).

😯 😯 😯 😯 😯
A rucksack, some socks and a wallet? £340!?!?!?!?!
The thing is rapha sent previous customers a 15% off code yesterday, rucksack cost £150, transfer wallet is £80 both pre discount. So at least £110 on socks!!
I don't think I've spent £110 on socks in total. Even if you count the value of ones i've been gifted, I wouldn't be much past that.
Unless.....are you some sort of human centipede?
Yup.. socks, I did buy some nice ones 😳
Akchewely quite a few nice ones, you know the new multi coloured merino ones, and some green ones in short and long and you know I bought a pair of lime green overshoes which are kinda socks riiiigghhtt?
I can be a dick sometimes. But it was late, I'd had 3 snifters of whiskey (probs doubles) and a glass of wine.. Now normally I'd be comatose, but the glare of the laptop screen kept me awake 😆
A Triumph Tiger 800 XCX. New. 2 weeks ago, just as the weather turned...
A new heater for the garage. Decadent stuff
My last impulse purchase was a framed image of the cover of Joy Divisions Unknown Pleasures. Its hand-cut out of paper with a scalpel, by Clare, a local artist who constantly gobsmacks me with her work, which exhibits a skill and attention to detail I can barely even begin to contemplate.
It is truly a thing of beauty and wonder.
Like a pair of Rapha socks, I imagine
Like a pair of Rapha socks, I imagine
probably much cheaper though.
In fact those camper vans above could probably have been bought with loose change after buying Rapha socks....
The camper van won't turn the colour of old chewing gum after one wet ride... The paper cut might though! Any pics Binners?
Oh, just clicked 'buy' on a dehumidifier... Rock and roll... 🙁
A bottle of Woodford Reserve. Tasty.
I'll have to get some pictures when it arrives Gatsby. I've not got it yet. This is it [url=
progress...
😯
Wow, that's some detail!! Thanks for posting that, I've followed her on Facebook - she's not far from me... 🙂
a large illuminated moose head wearing sunglasses made from recycled plastics and a big black raven from recycles material as well.
Needed a bluetooth speaker for my son's birthday party so bought a Bose soundlink mini. It's nice but not as good (loud) as I thought it'd be. Kind of wish I hadn't bothered really.
Tracy wins...! Wow!
A Canon 5D and a Suunto Traverse.
Oh and a new strap for my Observer.

Put it in a corner and listen to the difference 😉
A second Opinel.
Stainless this time.
Perfect for the fishing bag, but definitely an impulse buy.
Managed to get out of Winfield's at Hassie with just that, the dubbin and dry bags I'd gone in for.
🙂
Does a baby daughter count? I didn't buy her, but I am paying for her (and therefore not much else since).

damn you. *goes off to google. Will shortly be impulsing*
An ice cream, extravagant I know but it was 20°C in mid November.
For a tenner, they really are lovely things.
The helpful sales bloke emptied all their stock onto the counter so I could have a rummage.
Managed to find one with a nice patterned grain, couldn't leave it behind.
Tea strainer and some ridiculously expensive tea. In my defense it was Jasmine and Oolong, but little luxuries (about £1 a cup).
Prefer Chrome socks to Rapha, personally.
Ridgeback scoot (scratched, so i can repaint it for jnr for christmas - see what paint stripper thread)
Psp go (obsolete now, but i want to run retro games on it - see retro gaming thread!)
*is excitable, me socks are being delivered t'moz.... me rucksack I've no idea, yet.
😀
Fake boobies for the wife. She's been banging on about them for the last 10 years.
Just woke up yesterday and thought **** it.
Initial consultation in the pipeline.
Win?
Just woke up yesterday and thought **** it.
Literally? 😀
Well, it would've have to be under £20 that's for sure. Anything else I like to agonise over for months (or even years) before I finally plump for something and then immediately end up full of regret at having thrown away more good money than I can actually afford....
Edit: duh, read the thread title, non bike.... 😳
And Tracey's +1 got to be the winner.
I read

as it flashed past my eyes, while then scrolling up to...

which seemed apt.
A fishing reel.
