Album: U2 War
Single: Never bought one, but was given the CBS recording of U2's 11 o'clock Tick Tock, which in Canada was very rare as it was only available in Ireland

After my formative years of getting records bought for me by my Dad (T Rex and Mud mostly), my first self purchased single was 999 "Emergency", album I think was Iggy Pop "New Values".

First album...struggling to remember. Most of my early listening was copied on cassette from my best mate's older brother. I'm pretty sure it was The Nightfly by Donald Fagen. If it wasn't, then I've obliterated anything else from my memory.

The same day I also bought an Eric B & Rakim 7". Not sure which one, but they were both out of the bargain bin in Woolworths.
