This would bring a tear to a glass eye. Still gets me.
Nice tribute to Ronnie Hazlehurst here…

Prize for anyone who can remember which other program had the same theme tune as Grange Hill
And I fully agree with Alan Partridge on the merits of this one...
My best mate at A Level collage was called Bod, and we teased him rotten.
And this I still miss, kids tv these days seem to miss out on the classics...
Not sure if this link is gonna work or not, but does anyone else remember this bonkers programme, Neat and Tidy?
And the Big Bang Theory must be one of the best current themes I reckon.
&
Also surprised nobody has posted Knight Rider or the A Team yet.
Spaced actually used both the ATeam and Grange Hill tunes at various points.
Even though I don’t like cricket, this was a memorable tune from my yoof.
All my other memories are already here, with perhaps only the second one below missing.
Oooh Battle of The Planets.
The Sopranos
Alabama 3 - Woke up this morning
I don’t even need to post a link to Ski Sunday. Just reading that last sentence will give you the ear worm
I was going to post the Hong Kong Phooey theme tune but someone (with great taste) has already posted that so
From the same show for the fans of old skool rap
Ski Sunday - ah the memories.
Used to love this one too, and enjoyed the programme.
Tune was decent, but the very opening sequence was superb.

I'm guessing you also have a small child. Lost count how many times I've heard that one.
Due South
If we are allowed to come away from our “yoof”, then this is more than a classic..it’s become iconic.
And this become an important part of my life, just like that above.. crafted in the days when quality mattered and the TV schedules were starting to explore the darker side of life..
wow due south and northern exposure, i had completely forgotten about those programs!
bit like this one:
Sopranos is a great call, but Due South? I liked the program, watched it regularly but having just listened to that then tune I couldn’t have told you what it was from, totally unmemorable, whereas I don’t recall ever watching Cagney and Lacey yet 2 notes in I knew exactly what it was. Weird uh?
Great post - like scrolling through my childhood. Just when I think ‘oh yeah that one’ another magic one appears. Well done all.
nash, I used to absolutely hated the programme White Horses! That was a long time ago.
LOL - I don't remember the programme at all, just the theme - heard it for the first time in ages a few years ago, and it took me back to being 3 again and one of my earliest memories!
Ahhh Monkey, takes a while to get going, actually in hindsight the theme tune is pretty crap but good show:
Three pages and no Inspector Morse?
Another for those of us of a certain age 🙂 Van der Walk
This is going to play at my wedding in a couple of weeks....
1,2,3
Awwwwwwww
I’m shocked at myself for forgetting this one, as should all you 30 somethings.
not quite the original
Catweazle (come touchwood) or When The Boat comes in? Captain Pugwash?
Ski Sunday
Miami vice
Luther
Mash
Hawaii Five O
I'm still waiting to be reminded of the name of the quiz show that shares it's theme tune with Grange Hill!

Yeah, me too.
If only someone would give us a clue....
Bravo. been up all night over that!
The Persuaders
Ace my younger brother loved that.

Wow, that will have gone way over my head at the time.
What? No MacGyver?
& I was trying to remember Neat & Tidy, quite an odd show.
Yes Soul Limbo (Test Match) is arguably the greatest theme music ever, but does it really count? Ditto for Kraftwerk's Tour de France.
criminal that we're four pages in before this is up
