Current is technical operator at a tv studio, before that was junior technical operator at a different studio (was only there 6 months before being poached for my current job via linked in!). The title makes it sound a bit better than it is, I basically do audio, graphics and EVS stills/replays for live racing. Before that was web design with a bit of video editing. Very happy where I am now 🙂

Appraisal Scientist is what is says at the end of my emails. I wince every time someone asks 'so what do you do?'. Basically I'm a bean-counter for the NHS in Wales looking at whether new drugs are affordable. Whenever the Mail are screaming 'PATIENTS DENIED NEW CANCER MEDICINE' that's me, that is (no headline for the 90%+ of products that get approved of course).

Before that: Technical Author at a medical communications startup (followed, predictably for a startup, by redundancy). Before that, a biochemistry PhD. I sponged off society, or at least paid very little tax, til I was 27 🙂
