We had a fine one today.
*facepalm*
I got a fine from the Dublin toll once and it wasn't my car. They got the number plate wrong by 1 letter.
That's a camera misread although looking at the plate God knows why, nice clear plate. Should have been picked up manually as well and cancelled. Tescos car park by any chance?
Write to the DVLA, Horizon have inappropriately requested your keeper details which is a breach of KADOE / GDPR.
I had a long stay photo of the front of my car once, proving I’d failed to pick it up on time. In the photo 32s past time was me and the young lady I had taken out for lunch asking the Warden to get out the way so I could move my car…
Makes you think - JHJ as part of a number plate; jivehoneyjive...
I had one for overstaying in a car park.
The photos provided were from two completely separate stays.
I had the "2 different visits" thing, was a straightforward appeal but they don't make the process easy do they?
(I'm having some fun with them just now- I was volunteering with a local event and my job was literally to close the car park, and then stop anyone from leaving it as the road outside was shut, had a TTRO and police backup and everything. So I drove in, spent an hour or so warning people it was going to close so they didn't get stuck, closed it up, put my car at the entrance to help block it, watched the parade, waited til the road reopened and went on my way. Got a ticket for it. Appealed and the response is just totally cut-and-paste, obviously hadn't read a word of it. SO it's off to Popla for the most open-and-shut appeal ever)
Once had a fine for parking in a bus lane in Hammersmith. The reg on the Peugeot in the picture started with y844, I owned a VW at the time with a reg starting with y884 and I'd never been to Hammersmith in my life. Didn't take long for them to accept it wasn't me

LOL! @ that photo.
Thats an interresting one Northwind, landowner should have added you to a list so you didnt get the PCN. Should have been easy enough to appeal but unfortunately some of the less reputable companies will refuse nearly everything, the better companies have quite high ratios of granting appeals. Its not really worth chasing a dodgy PCN for the companies, costs more than it makes. However act like an arse and you'll end up on the list to go to court.
We had a letter from the bailiffs about an outstanding parking fine from Grimsby College. I knew it was wrong seeing as neither me or Mrs EGF have never ever been to Grimsby, I checked the evidential photo taken by the parking officer & the vehicle shown was a Nissan Juke, not an Xtrail, with the reg no PK63 XKH not PK63 XKG.
I emailed them & simply said 'I will not be paying this fine, please check your evidence', that was all. Got an email a couple of weeks later saying I wouldn't be liable for the fine.
No shit Sherlock. No apology either.
Yep, our message via thier infuriating site today was 'check your evidence, it's not the same car. We are not paying anything.'
TBF, both cars are red Seat Ibiza ST's, both regularly have Thule bike roof racks on...proper clone car time!
I get regular ones from a camera in birmingham thinking a kia 4x4 is a transit connect (the number plate is one charecter out and the camera is at a daft angle to read the plates).
On the third notice simply replied "not me again check your records" again a month later another letter "you do not nedd to pay this fine".
