bit too big to carry home 😉
That's how the other half fly tip!
Is that piano leftover from a Top Gear stunt?
Bloody hell, some people have no respect. Everyone knows you should always put the lid down on a piano when you're not using it.
Is that The Ridgeway Count?
Whoever left it there was pretty quick about it, it wasn't there when I walked past at 2.30, but was there at 5. It's the cheek of dumping it in broad daylight on a pretty busy byway. That's Avebury in the background just behind the trees at the bottom.
It's the effort needed to take it up there and dump it when all they needed was to phone the council. 😐
Love the Jet Provost, that's certainly something you don't see every day!
Sorry, c_g, our posts overlapped, it's the Herepath leading up to the Ridgeway from Avebury.
probably worth a few quid even as junk?
rent a van, collect it
Is that the jet up by lumb ?
i'll be riding on the ridgeway tomorrow (i actually will be for once 😉 so might pass it (might play chopsticks on it,as it's all i know how to play on a piano 😉
The farmer who has the farm at the bottom was there so I told him about it, he's going to pick it up and salvage the metal and burn the rest.
Or else ask the bloke with the antique shop in the village if he wants it! 😆
if you look under that piano, there's probably a coyote 🙁

Poor condition, second hand pianos are worth sweet FA cos they cost an absolute fortune to get back in to working order.
The Jet Provost was in a garden half way round the Mary Townley loop!
Near the Hargreaves arms near lumb

Must've been a damn good pilot to land it there!
😉
Thought so Count, I sometimes ride up there on my way to Fyfield Down to get some healing vibes from the wethers!
Until such time as local councils accept any waste, it will continue unfortunately. A real eyesore and particularly so there. 🙁
montylikesbeer Yes 😳
I go past it on my valley bible ride, strange thing it is

id pay £100 to have it sat in the corner with shit sat on top
nice for "dressing" a house
if you look under that piano, there's probably a coyote
Genuine LOL at that! Thank you! 😆
Jon, that one is certainly going to need a lot spent to get it back into good working order!
C_g, absolutely, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. I don't think it'll be there long, the farmer'll see to that. 😀
Great pics there! Can't beat the Wiltshire countryside. 8)
You seen my medicine or piano?

Abso-bleedin'-lutely! Especially when you find a crop formation right next to the village!
Dunno what it looks like from the air, I'll have to have a shufti at the croppy sites.
[edit] lol at Nick. 😆
strange things fall out of the sky
Neninja - 😯
Raceface, whereabouts is that one? The location looks vaguely familiar.
it was near the cherhill monument (the alien smoking a herbal pipe 😀
Ah yes, of course! I remember seeing it, but I didn't recognise it from that angle.
Obviously genuine, made by non-human agencies; at least, according to 'experts' who inspected it at the time... 😆
