Those have been around for ever – my old local (Mile Post on Leeds Road in Harrogate – RIP) used to do various filled puds (just didn't term them 'pizzas'). Such lovely things as chilli con carne puds, sausage & mash puds and my personal favourite, Sunday Dinner puds. I recall them also doing a dessert one too, filled with ice cream etc.

Oh yes I'm aware of filled puds, this just seemed a step further.

I also recall a pub that used to do a "sandwich" of a thick slice of roast beef between two Yorkshire puds. They were good.

You can put beef in a pud
You can put chicken or lamb in a pud
You can put sausages in a pud
Certainly other savoury type fillings are pushing it.
Reheated (under the grill obviously) with butter and Jam is allowed.
But pizza?
That deserves a slattage hoofing the likes of which STW has to date never seen the likes of!!

Yorkshire puds have been around since time immemorial. Growing up in Yorkshire in the 70's we used to have Yorkshire pud and gravy as a "starter" to fill us up before the meat got served!

By 'eck, times were 'ard then!

Looks like more Artisan shite of tarting up basic foods and making them trendy/expensive! Reminds me that I read an article in one of he weekend paper food supplements recently about how salted fish has become trendy/expensive when it's origins came from it being a cheap way of preserving fish for the Catholic masses to eat on Fridays.

Eh?

Why would I feel left out? I'm merely pointing out yet another opportunity for a bit more levity. I didn't claim I wanted to be part of it, that's you reading shit into it.

No surprise there...
