Wife & I and good friends & their 2 kids, both under 3yrs old are planning a trip in April. I've never been before, so... Any B&B's or self catering Cottages with access to a pool would be great for the kids. We'll do some walks but nothing major.

Also is the weather likely to be horrendously wet in April?

There's a nice self catering place in Thornton rust called little nettle (i think). We stayed in the smaller property called the piggery. No pubs there, but a short walk to askrigg which has a brill pub where all creatures great and small was filmed.

Dales Bike Centre near Reeth is great, good camping and pub in Keld and The Tan Hill Inn is one of the best places I've ever been to. Stayed up there in our camper sat night in all the snow, was a right adventure!

Stayed in leyburn a few times. Plenty of pubs and coffee shops. If its open that time of year, check out forbidden corner. Amazing way to spend a day. Kids and adults will love it.

Coniston Hotel would fit the bill if you MUST have a pool...

Otherwise anywhere - gods own country .... 😆

Assume it`ll be wet ....
