I had a full breakfast the other day that included some hallomi that was cooked in some kind of way that actually made it taste of something...
On the way back from the after ride pub today I bought some bacon and some hallomi.
So how do I cook it so it'll go with my bacon in the morning? 🙂

Halloumi is best fried in a hot pan with a tiny bit of good olive oil in it.

As an aside, what did the cheese say when it saw itself in the mirror?

Marinade in oil and herbs. Grill on very high heat for not long, grill pan is better thn overhead grill.

Deep fried is good to. Again, you want it hot on the outside, melty in the middle

But they probably just had good quality cheese, it's not all the same.

All the best Greek food is Turkish.
Bacon and Squeeky cheese?
Fry the cheese in bacon fat.
Pretend you haven't.
Eat the evidence.

Best haloumi I've had was soaked in milk then beer battered and deep fried. Very tender and not salty.

1. Feed the cheese to the pigs.
2. Eat the bacon.

In an attempt to answer the question in the thread title: Scotch pancakes/drop scones, with yoghurt, berries, and honey.

Or, a ****ing massive bowl of muesli. Keep eating till an enormous bowel movement demands an intervention.

Or, a warm croissant, with lashings of pretentious 'conserve', and a good strong coffee ( this will also help initiate a healthy bowel movement)

I'm sorry, I seem to have fixated on bowel movements.

Anyway, bacon, smoked or un-smoked?

As Scotroutes says. Then sprinkle smoked paprika liberally. It's all about slicing it to just the right thickness too.

Was it de brie tom. 🙂

yunki.
I often think a pork chop could be made to taste a little for porky but never though of adding extra bacon. I might have to give that a go.

I went with panfried in olive oil in the end, along with grilled bacon, toast and beans with HP sauce and black pepper.
