Now that I’m turning 40 I fancy giving yoga a go to keep my body healthy and supple 🙄.

Anyone know of any Yoga YouTube channels that could aid me in my quest to keep my creaking body from failing?

For biking try Abi on Pinkbike. Not video but lots of good stuff.

Pinkbike Abi +1 - Although I dabble in yoga although take it easy as some of the more advanced poses (which she labels as such) are pretty extreme if you're new to the whole stretching thing.  Even she acknowledges this...

Abi Carver has a youtube channel

If you were minded, you could dessicate yourself to it over a weekend.

Cheers guys! I’ll get my granny’s leotard and check out Abi’s videos.

Yoga with Adrienne on YouTube, my other half swears by it. Has a cute dog called Benji too 😁

Think it would be far better to go to classes where instructor will help you actually do it properly. There's so much to it you wouldn't perhaps expect to do which they'll see you're not doing and put you straight! Started earlier this year on and off. Initially expected to not be comfortable doing it but have found it quite enjoyable.

5 parks yoga on you tube is pretty good. Good mix of videos of consistent quality.

+1 for the Abi Carver articles (some with videos) on Pinkbike - I'm really starting to notice an improvement with 15 minutes a day of the hip and lower back routines.

She also has videos on Vimeo (and maybe YouTube) for purchase and is on the Strava premium subscription.

I would suggest going to a couple of classes first too, just to learn the basics, then crack on with the online stuff if you want after that.

I think that going to classes is definitely the best way. I haven't been to one yet but keep meaning to. I find most videos move too quickly to follow. You spend a fair bit of time not facing whatever the video is playing on so need to keep releasing the pose a bit to check what they're doing. At the moment I've just read various bits and pieces on both yoga and just general stretching and I just have a set of stretches that I do holding each for ~15s, I'm lacking the fluidity of movement between poses but I'm certainly more flexible than I was.
