I tried hot yoga last night.
90 min class doing the Bikram sequence in 40deg heat.
One of the hardest workouts I've ever put myself through, heart racing, muscle aching... sweated off over 3lb in weight and felt absolutely amazing after.
If you already practive yoga you should definitely give it a go. If you're a scpetic I'd urge you to try it.
You mean sweated off over 3lb in water though presumably? Yoga makes sense but not sure why you need to dehydrate yourself whilst doing it...
my weight always fluctuates by a couple of kgs, it's hydration levels. plus yes, yoga can be very hard work, some of the toughest things I've done have been in a yoga class and nothing can top the feeling afterwards, it usually lasts a few days too.

I loved Pilates, but it seemed to be the cause of a slipped disc for me so I dont do it anymore 🙁
Long been a fan of Bikram - it really is powerful stuff and can have a profound and positive impact on your health (and on the bike performance). Problem with doing it in the UK is nost studios are too cool at only 36, when it should be 42.
Where did you do it TSY?
YogAvenue in Oxford. It's billed as being at 40deg although the temp varies from one side of the room to the other.
I went at the cool end and was absolutely drenched.
Doing my normal class tomorrow then back into the heat on Friday... can't wait.
Fuzzy - it's not about dehydration... it's about the benefits of your muscles being warm.
