You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Bought something off eBay last week. Got the bay email on Thursday to say item delivered. It's deffo not been delivered here. We were in all day, mostly in the garden and within sight of the clattery front gate.
Item was listed on the tracking site as "delivered - covid 19 no signature" which is their latest drop down option apparently on their device which presumably means its ok to chuck your parcel in a bin and go home.
I googled what to do and most threads say that as the delivery co say its been delivered eBay will rule in the favour of the seller if I open a claim. How can this be - especially given yodel rep online. It seems they do this all the time.
I was in a similar situation earlier in the week. (With eBay / yodel too)
in absence of signatures the driver should take a photo showing the parcel where it was left (hopefully framing the photo so the location Is identifiable)
so contact the vendor snd ask them to request that photo from yodel. If the photo wasn’t taken, or was and doesn’t show your front door then that should be suitable evidence for a refund
however - having contacted the vendor and asked for just that ...... Half an hour later (but 3 days after I’d had the email to say it had arrived) the parcel got delivered.
there’s a lot of rookie drivers out there just now - so there’s a chance thar even though it’s shown as delivered it may still be on its way to you,

+1 to this. I've had a few things marked as delivered that turn up a day or two later. one took a week. I think the driver's are under pressure to hit a certain target so will mark stuff delivered then actually deliver it later.
I'd wait a little while. There is no rush to start the ebay resolution process, you have quite a big window.
I did think that they might mark as delivered to meet a delivery target. Have had that in the past. It’s been a couple of days now. I have contacted the seller. They’ve said they’re responsible trader etc and will follow it up but nothing back since
Despite chasing emails. Will wait until post bank hol and a few days before I chase again.
Frustrating as every other delivery co seems to manage ok? I even put the house n7mber on our gatepost so you can see it from the street!
It's the seller's legal responsibility to ensure goods are delivered. However, good luck with that if they're claiming it's delivered.
If you want to chase it yourself, executive.complaints@vx.yodel.co.uk is what you need.
I had a similar experience with DPD. I got a message saying my packages had been delivered and signed for when they hadn't, I then got 1 package delivered the next day and the other package marked as returned to retailer, which then got delivered the next day. It's the lies annoy me 😉
It’s been a couple of days now
Technically, yes, but not two working days. I would expect the driver to catch up over the BH weekend but they may not be working again until Tuesday

you're right. bank holiday and strange times.
I'm not going nuts about it yet. Will give it a few days.
Annoying though. What's the point of tracking if you can deliver it somewhere else and be in the clear?
down under and we regularly get parcels left for nearby houses and I've been told to go search other peoples porches for my parcels....all the courier co's need to do is take a picture of the parcel label when left and geotag data will give the where the f' they left it and the time tag on the non sign would make it easy to find the picture ... not too difficult too implement
We had this with a package of radioactive material being shipped to us. Everyone at the shipper was very 'Whatever....' until they got a phone call from the statutory regulator when, miraculously, the package was tracked down to their depot within about half an hour.
