Why any company would use them to deliver their stuff is beyond me. Tracking page says my new bikes have been delivered. They haven't. Phone goes through a few auto options then tells you their lines are closed. Manage to get through to the web chat and they say the tracking is a 'little misleading', in so much as they have delivered the bikes to a courier who then hasn't delivered them to me. 'Little misleading' my arse! DPD FTW!

Write to whoever you ordered the bikes from complaining about Yodel (your contract is with the supplier, not the courier). Make it clear you won't buy from them again unless they change courier.

Only language these sort understand.

My guess is that's a given! He may prefer to have the immediate situation sorted...

They are shockingly shite. Don't think there's much he can do at this stage, though...

Yodel and dpd are both shite. 4 missed collections, two from each over the space of a week.

DPD are the best by far here but Yodel are fine as well, the guy delivers them in his car and does Mrs Tetchypete's Next parcels too. If we're not in he leaves them in next doors garage. Both miles better than the unlamented Shitty Link.

^^Sounds alot like Hermes. Do you live rurally and have a local parcel man who does parcels for a few couriers?

Our Hermes man normally turns up about 10PM.

After my debacle with Planet X and Yodel I will never wish anyone to use Yodel again. On one occasion they delivered to my old address (Planet X's fault) but Yodel forged my signature to say I had received it and then dumped it over another garden fence!

I was more than just a little bit miffed, especially after I finally tracked it down to find the box and contents trashed - for a third time! 👿

With me it is Hermes who really annoy. They drop off from a big truck to a local courier on a daily basis at 07:30hrs. Local courier lives opposite me on a steep, narrow road. I need to leave for work at 07:30. Conflict ensues when truck parks across my drive, preventing me and my beau-ti-ful Berlingo hitting the M4.

There are so many different Hermes drivers that I cannot remember which ones have had to deal with my approbation previously, so now I just glare in a Ninjastyle and tell them that they have deliberately blocked my access. Driver(s) huff and puff (and later rant on Hermestrackworld?) and thus the Universe is balanced once again... ...until tomorrow.

You could always leave at 07:29, thus balancing the universe in a way that doesn't piss either of you off??

Any time I have had a delivery from yodel and I am not at home - they have just left the stuff in my garden and marked it as delivered.

DPD are fantastic!.

Myhermes, yodel etc are all dependant on how good your individual guy is, fortunately my local fellas are really good.

DPD are the gold standard of couriers IME.

Yodel, I believe my opinions are fairly well known by now. I'm starting to boycott retailers who use them, there's little point in buying stuff when "delivered" and "abandoned somewhere in the same postcode" are synonyms.

My pikes 'went missing' from their van a while back. Rubbish service from them (told something different by all 3 people I managed to speak to on live chat) and rubbish service from Planet x in rectifying the problem!
