Stepson passed his final test & interview to be a real actual train driver. 3 of us danced around the kitchen when he got the Email telling him & I even gave him a beer (just one though).
Medical in a couple of weeks & hopefully....
£45K p.a. waiting for him until he retires. 😆
What's the starting salary like?
p/s: Once he passes the last test make sure you charge him for everything he uses, including interest, in the house because he will be a rich man soon.
good lad. I've got a mate that's a train driver, having a house up North a flat down South, a place in the Alps whilst just having returned from a 'holiday' in North Korea indicates that it's quite a good job to get!
He'll be with Freightliner Intermodel which is 40K +, if he went onto heavy haul it's some more & if he moved over to passenger it could be more.
I think the starting salary is pretty average (19K ish) but goes up in big lumps as training increases.
Yeap. Charge him interest from now on. 😀
