Now, not wanting to piss on the chips of people who like birthdays, but I really like waking up and realizing that it's not my birthday.
1. I woke up again. That's always a relief.
2. I have been fortunate in my life. I can afford to eat cake any day that I feel like. When I was young, I couldn't, but eating cake doesn't feel special any more.
3. When it's not my birthday, I wake up no older than I was the day before.
Happy not birthday to me!
Chomping on banana cake as I write this.
Many happy returns of no significant day in particular.
Miserable another day!
It's not my birthday so I'm happy not to get the really cheesy card that my dad insists on getting.
I'll celebrate my not birthday too 🍷
I'm near the end of my fourth decade on this earth, how long should I have been listening to radio four for?
3. When it’s not my birthday, I wake up no older than I was the day before
I hate to break the bad news to you but....
It’s not my birthday as I was only born the one time and that was ages ago!
Happy Unbirthday 👍👍👍
It’s not my birthday until tomorrow… but it is a public holiday. I’m not sure if I should celebrate or not.
What would STW do?
I would do nothing.
I believbe that Birthdays don't actually matter to you/me/the person who's Birthday it actually is.
Birthdays are designed to give everyone else a break from the monotony of yet another ordinary day - on YOUR birthday they have an excuses to buy you a cheesy Birthday Card and eat cake with you.
Your Birthday is your chance to pay them all back for all of THEIR birthdays you get to celebrate throughout the year.
Birthdays are a mechanism 'we' use to improve everyone's day-to-day existence :o)
YMMV (my Wife think's I'm a miserable git - she may or may not be correct!)
Today actually is my birthday. Thanks for rubbing it in.
Quick update, today is not my birthday again.
I have had 2 birthdays for the last 7 years, well strictly speaking a birthday and a re-birthday day. It also means I'm simultaneously 48 and 7. This pleases me and displeases me in equal measure! Today is neither of my 'special' days.
