The usual route for disposing of paperwork hasn't been available to me since March ......
Whilst we try to be paperless where possible it just seems to mount up.
So I'm going to treat myself to a shredder ...... but which one?
Any suggestions // recommendations?
There is domestic paper removal service which involves being sent acid/enzymes you stick into a plastic bag or some such..let me see if I can find it.
Or a garden shredder....must be more reliable..
I brought an amazon basics micro shredder a year or so back. Has worked fine and trashes the paper enough that someone would need to really care to undo it (basically turns it into confetti). Not suitable to large amounts of shredding since only takes a handful of sheets and overheats fairly quickly but good enough for home use.
I finally found a use for the fire pit thing I was told to buy...
I've got shed loads of paper to get rid of. Domestic shredders all seem to need to cool down every few minutes, or are generally shite.
Was looking at this type of service instead:Â https://www.crosscutshredding.co.uk/product/shred-bags/
Cheapo from Rymans here. We shred every fortnight for the recycling bin, and it copes if you don't rush it.
Not our W.H.Smiths one. Says it can handle 5 sheets at a time, it can't. Also overheats after about 3 minutes of use. So if you're crap like me and let several years of shredding pile up it takes a day to shred it all!
