Righto
I've run this yahoogroup for years with no bother but this is the first time I've had someone apply to join since they revamped the system. The 'Activity Log' says they sent an email request, I never got an email telling me that, and they don't show up as a Pending member. How the blinking flip can I accept their membership request?
(I know other group hosting services are available, as are other methods of joining the group, but it's the principal that counts on this one)
TIA
Ask them to send the request again.
Are you deffo set up as the admin for the group still?
from the main page, I choose "management" and then "pending approvals". Maybe check management -> activity log to see if the request was actioned by someone else? Or check that the email is genuine and you aren;t visiting a fake site...
I'm the owner & sole mod for the group so there's no way anyone else can have actioned it. It's a request from a genuine person (I've emailed them at the address), the Activity Log shows their 'membership request via email' as the last entry on the email commands list, but they don't show up under Pending Approvals. Seems a bit odd & wondered if I was missing something buried in the new system, but apparently not.
Meh. I'll just "invite" them and be done with it.
