Any Xbox experts in???
The Oceanskipperlets have the use of an Xbox. I have family accounts setup for them and the Live subscription is on my account but they share it without issue.
Now, No.2 Skipperlet wants a Series X console for Crimbo (managed to bag one off Amazon yesterday so I have one at least) as they want to play some games together that require players to be on separate consoles.
My questions are:
Will I need to buy an additional Xbox Live subscription or can they continue to share the one subscription by just signing in to the other console? I don't want to sign into the other console myself and let them play as me in order to access Xbox Live as I have set restrictions on their accounts that I want to maintain.
Also if I do need to purchase an additional subscription and assign it to one of them will I need to pay for all the games again (apart from the GamePass ones)? Or in fact will I need to pay for all the games again anyway in order to get them on the second console???
Short answer no, long answer tomorrow but it relates to having one console as ‘Home Console’ and one console permanently auto logging in as the user who the subscription is attached to. For me the hom console is in the teenager bedroom and the logged in console is more widely used by us all and lives in the lounge. All accounts under a family subscription and Live / Game Pass linked to my account. In the shared console they are under strict instructions to login as themselves.
OK thanks. That sounds promising..... I'd like to know if I need to buy the games I own again as well.
