I hate X Factor but looking forward to seeing what that Aiden does - thought his Mad World cover was great last week.

Aiden was awesome. He made some great faces too - reminiscent of David Byrne or Russel Mael (Sparks). Some of the girls are good too, Rebecca, Trayc, Katie

trayc

I bet that's not a typo is it?
.
I will be spending the night in the corner of the living room, headphones on, tinkering with my bike but still grumbling about the Simon Cowell show

I still think it would be an enhanced viewing experience if the loser each week fell through a trap door onto rusty spikes.

Actually it might be Treyc, can't remember, not interested enough to look it up

like the trap door idea, but should it be for the judges?

The trapdoor idea is a winner. Or how about when they're kicked off, Simon Cowell shouts 'RUN!' and releases a pack of baying rabid hounds.

As the father of two ickle girls, I've learnt to embrace the X Factor as I have no choice. Why fight it?

We've got mates and their kids round and Mrs Binners has prepared enough buffet food to supply several wedding receptions. Sausage roll anyone?

I'm with you Binners, after running record shops for many years I used to think X Factor was the root of all evil. As I've mellowed with age I can now watch it, and find it weirdly enjoyable though I would never, ever listen to the various contestants music through choice. Weird.

^^^ This. A few years ago I would have told you you were a **** for watching it. Mellowing a little with age I find myself watching and posting pointless questions about it in forums.

I've managed to avoid this years show until tonight, I'm babysitting for my friends 7 year old daughter who loves the x factor.

It's like living with my ex again!

I think equipping them all with exploding vests and the losers vest gets activated seems like the best option, as well as seeing how well they perform under pressure there is always the chance Cheryl Cole gets caught up in the blast.

Shirt in or out, and get the bangles off the wrists, otherwise quite good.

Aiden got a bit of a slagging. Probably deserved it but the panel aren't worried as they know he is far too pretty to be knocked out this week.

I think if I had listened to that rendition as a non-x factor performer in a small club I might have liked it in a 'strangled genius' sort of appreciation mode but as it was the x-factor it just came across as shite.

You are showing your age,CharlieMungus! 🙂

All credit to the girl for having a stab at one of my favourite songs.

Who knows, it may have sounded 'fresh' to a modern audience.
