I struggle with long sentences
It's the language of business BS, if I don't know WTF I'm talking about and can use abbrvs to confuse the listener I will have achieved two things.
1. Demonstrated that I know more than the listener.
2. Hidden my insecurity and lack of confidence.
Emperor's new clothes, innit! Who on earth is going to admit to not knowing what the other is talking about?
I'm also interested in knowing why people think they can write questions without using a fugging question mark. Why?????????????
Don't get me started on apostrophes or the quotation marks used by the BBC in every 'headline'.

The point being that if you are going to repeat a phrase in your book/paper/essay/threadpost then it makes sens to acronymise it to save time and space, so the first time you use an acronym is to introduce the phrase and the acronym in brackets after. Then everyone knows what it is and you can use the acronym from then on. Thats how do it on science anyway. Or variations, some write the acronym and the full phrase in brackets after but I prefer phrase followed by acronym.
Does that count as swear filter avoidance then?
I guess that all depends on how you read it.
