So we've decided to head to manchester this saturday with no real plan so looking for fun/interesting things to do whilst there and also a good restaurant for lunch or dinner, we look to the wiseness of the stw forum....
Leoni's Latin Cellar is a very good, if not a touch small, restaurant. A quick google will take you to their website for directions etc.
Depends what food you're after. Try this web site, manchester confidential if you register you'll be able to get some money off vouchers. Eg the Hilton is doing an offer for £20. A cocktail in the Cloud 23 bar and then a 2 course meal in the Podium restaurant. Worth it for the views and you don't have to queue to get into the bar
Tiger Tiger for nightime entertainment, with a few of the pubs in the Printworks for starter drinkies, Norwegian Blue gets particularly lively.
If you hit the Northern Quarter, a mate of ours usually DJ's Apotheca, Adam W.. Plays a very eclectic set, again gets a bit lively till everyone hits Tiger Tiger or Birdcage about 12 o clockish
head to the northern quarter for bars drinks etc. but be aware that it gets really busy on a weekend
If you've been shopping on Deansgate - or near there, head to San Carlo for lunch (might be worth booking first as it's very popular). It's a spankingly good Italian just off Deansgate on King Street West.
I wouldn't go near the Printworks unless you want to be drinking with a load of teenagers and chavs.
As for decent restaurants, there's:

You'd of been better coming next week when the Christmas Markets are open but other than that you'd be best giving up a bit more info on what kind of bars/things you like doing.
