Going to Paris in the summer for few days for friend's wife's 40th. Anyone recommend some nice hotels to stay in - nothing too expensive but central location/nice views would be good!

What is your budget??

I nearly always use booking.com - if you have an idea of which area to stay and check the reviews you rarely go wrong. For example, last time we stayed at Hotel St Paul Le Marais, which was very well located, and also quiet and comfortable.

But it doesn't really matter - Paris hotels are generally good value compared to British ones, and then you are in Paris, so your hotel is secondary 🙂 All you have to do is sleep there!

Small rooms, but very nice - stayed there in November with GF.

Superb location, about 100m from Musee d'Orsay

Why the Georges Cinq of course! If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it. 😉

I went to Paris with my Wife back in November and stayed at the Waldorf Trocadero (Details Here) that we booked through lastminute.com with flights from Southampton. All very good, and quite close to the Effiel Tower and we were able to walk almost everywhere from there.

We would go back there again.
