Hi my partner has been to look at a car for me down south, near where she lives. I could not get down to see it personally but I sent her a simple guide from research to check most expensive potential issues. The guy selling owns a auto repair family business. The car is a 09 kia 1. 6 diesel ceed HAS with 66k on the clock.
One thing I found funny with the car is it was already warm when my partner checked it for me. Then my partner asked the owner to rev the car while checking the exhaust and she sent me a video and there is blue smoke coming out the exhaust. The owner said there wasn't but I can clearly see its blue smoke.
When she test drive it she said the clutch was very light but she has never driven a diesel car and its also my first car and I couldnt really determine if that's normal or not.
These are the only photos I managed to get of the engine bits, but the body work is fine so no need to post them. I do have a video of the car revving with blue smoke coming out the
exhaust.
Ive noticed the guy has been trying to sell it for a while and it's a good price based on model and year , could this be why? It's worth knowing I'm not at all a expert on cars and I know a lot of people on here know a lot more than me. I know it's hard to say but from what you have seen and heard me say what would your Thoughts be, and advice!. The owner did say the car had been standing for 2 weeks yet was warm when we went to view.
