Out of interest, will/are our lads doing any specific training for the conditions they might encounter at the World Cup, or are conditions not an issue?
I've heard heat and altitude mentioned, and seen it met with a shrug of the shoulders, worrying!

I work for the company which provided altitude acclimatisation to the FA prior to the World Cup in South Africa in 2010, as well as the Lions in 2009. Not heard anything about prep for this years World Cup, but (without looking it up) I don't think the altitude will be as big an issue as it was in SA.

The FA do now have (and use) an altitude simulating chamber at the national football centre (St George's Park) so I imagine that will be more heavily used this year.

I think the biggest environmental challenge will be the heat and especially the humidity. This is something the British based players are unlikely to have encountered before, so I would hope for their sake that there are plans in place to acclimatise them to the conditions.
