I was just getting ready to say that it's not really proper cricket anyway. Going to have to hold off for a bit longer.

Fantastic performance, really impressed they kept it together - amazing that such short games can have ebb and flow.

ballsy decision to bowl the last over of spin while Mathews was still whacking it around. Wasn't convinced at the time, but my nerves couldn't have taken it if that last over had been Mo or Rashid, even with 20-odd to get!!

Well the Ladies have just about managed to pull themselves back into it after a bad start, here's hoping for a double celebration.

The evidence of the first innings seems to be scoring hard in the final overs. I think England need to get a move on.

So - women are out, and the men are staring down the barrel of a biggun' - 180+ (currently 133-3 after 16)

Gettable, but needs someone to get in and make a good score.

[edit - now 134-4, Morgan with a fab catch]

I think NZ will be pretty disappointed with where they're at now after the start they made. Couple of good overs could change that though....

Edit: another one down!

Also does anyone else think NZ's kit is atrocious ? It's like a kit from the 90s that has faded in the wash

Only 7 off the over, you know how well they are playing when you think that is a bit disappointing.

Who do we want to play? I'd rather play WI personally.

What's the Kolkata pitch like?

I fancy our chances more against WI but it would be great to beat India in their backyard, especially as T20 is so big there.

From a team with zero IPL experience, excepting one player, Morgan, who's arguably the only one not worth his place currently

(I disagree, i think he's skippered and fielded really well and while the batters around are firing we can afford a 'passenger')

His catch today was immense. It's also the fact that he still tries to play the same way when out of firm empowers the others to follow.

Didn't Morgan play for KKR for a few years? He should know the place pretty well.

2 goes to run out Kohli and they missed with both! I thought India were 30 behind a good score, but that could be a big moment.

Looks like I was right earlier!! If you bat first and get 20 below the average score for the ground, and are only 2 wickets down, I'd say you weren't taking enough risks. India have been sub-par all tournament, and were again today.

Kolkata pitch should take a bit more turn. IPL average scores about 170.

TMS for me, my stubborn refusal to support Murdoch and the over paid wendyballers hurts sometimes.

And the crickvid.com link that was posted on the other thread is pants, full of pop-up ads that refuse to die. Shame my 'P' doesn't have global affect...

Dunno, they are saying on the Guardian live blog thingy that the pitch is doing nothing at all for the bowlers so something big-ish is probably par.

Stokes FFS! 🙁

Yeah to be fair they chased down 230 against S Africa which not many people would have given them a chance of doing. Batting is our stronger suit though surely.
