Yep out with his Mrs, it kicked off around 10.40 when he went to stop some lads kicking mirrors off the cars in the street, a 16 yr old pulled a knife on him etc

its a hard feeling. talk to your colleagues.

One of the admin team in a place i worked died after she slipped and fell down stairs at home one weekend,
and a fella at the missus' was killed while riding home on his motorbike.

its a strange feeling afterwards. Hard to deal with. but talking is good.

yeah the lesson is to nip it in the bud, before a 16yo is walking around the streets with a knife.

Such an awful and tragic waste of a life and the misery that goes with it afterwards.
So sorry.

Horrible. And frightening. Any one of us could have ended up in that situation; it's not unreasonable to confront open vandalism of property. RIP Alex.

I wonder if it might be an idea to prosecute both parents of any offender up to the age of 21 as well as the offender him/ herself.

reading the story reminded me of '24hrs in police custody' the other night. young lad, carrying knife, altercation in corner shop, stabbed one of the shopkeepers, could so easily have had the same result.....

just seems all too common wiv da yoof of today innit bruv. yes, the programme even had to provide subtitles cos for some reason da yoof seem to talk like yardie gangsters these days innit. altho you didnt need subtitles for the ensuing no comment, no comment, no comment during the police interviews.

sorry to hear about your workmate stumpy, sad days.

Yep it's all "ya get me blood".

Its sad whenever you hear news like this. One thing to remember is not all "yoof" is like this just a small percentage of idiots (like most things) causing the most trouble. In fact, in general, teenagers seem to be more compassionate and understanding than when I was one.
