"reach out" used by our US clients in the context of "We're reaching out to our customers"
No, you are going to speak to them!

Noticed the word 'youse' used to describe plural you on another thread. Using it in conversation is one thing, (I use it myself). However seeing it written is really annoying.

"fair" or "fairness"

When used by politicians, can be used to mean absolutely anything - It's meaningless.

Another vote for "hard-working families"

"Look" - the politicians favourite pointless expression, added in to somehow emphasise & add authority

yewtree....

Its as if the police think that sexual predators only exist in the world of light entertainment. If they spent as much time going after the real sickos in this world we'd all be a lot better off...

IMO of course

'running' - as in 'I'm running a couple of windnuts on the neighbours wall to keep the toilet in one place' (see DIY disaster thread) or 'I'm running a dropper seatpost thingy on the two wheeled jobbie...'

No. Just no.

"Community"
As in "the increased police presence is causing tension in the community"
It is not a community. It is simply a lot of people living near each other. Just because there are a lot of people who are the same religion or race living near each other does not make it a community. Arrrggghhh.

Rant over...

"Where on the side of....." at the beginning of any sentence by a tory minister. Divide and rule.

Especially when inserted into a real world spoken conversation.

On the plus side, "Uber" is dying out.

Your meal order is taken, "no problem", why should their be ?
Every five minutes "is everything ok",I would have told you, if it wasn't and when you leave "see you later" no you won't.
Guesstimate
bear with me
Twitter feed
Re-tweet
Chillax
"bye bye bye bye etc... instead of one bye bye (usually phone call)
"yeh yeh yeh yeh etc... instead of one yes (in conversation)
And "ring any bells"
