Evening all.

Anyone got a woodburner installed without a chimney and simply flu pipe going through the wall and then flue pipe outside rising to the roofline? How doable is it and any pics? Is there a certain height you need to reach over the gutter line?

We have.

Our lounge is double height inside and the flue goes straight thru the roof, about 2m height on the roof.

Don't under estimate the cost of flue pipe...

You'd be needing a insulated twin wall system. Easy enough to do if your off through a wall straight to outdoors. If your staying within the house its a bit more mess but easy enough. As for flue height above gutter: http://www.stovesonline.co.uk/flue-outlet-height.html

You'd also need a fire stop/ guard going through each wall/ floor as well.

At our last place it went out through a plate in the wall at 45 degrees, then into a twinwall that went up to about a meter above the ridgeline. Also had a hatch in the bottom that made sweeping a doddle. It worked really well but I bet that twinwall wasnt cheap.

I did it. Got my parts from this lot.

If you follow the links further down the page, you simply put your measurements in and they will quote you for what you need.

Don't forget if you aren't Hetas registered, you will need to get building control to come and sign it off to be "fully legal"...
